About 2 blocks from my hotel, tried to go tonight based on the reviews. Place is boarded up with for rent signs on the door. Hotel concierge called the number hoping maybe they moved locations but no answer. Bummer, sounded really good.

Well, we found this restaurant in a Magazine of LAN, we visited a lot restaurants in Cartagena, but I think that is one of the best. Excelent food, cozy place, good in all areas. Thanks Carmela :)

This is a great restaurant, we went twice for dinner and ended up getting the same thing both times - the fish in coconut sauce, coconut rice, and a small salad. The mojito was excellent. The menu is pretty small, but a very decent price - probably the best you can get for the good value. The main dishes were... More

We ate here twice while in cartagena, once for lunch where we had a very nice chicken with some unique sides. Most of the other places served only cocunut rice and patacones but here there wsas more variety. We also had a lovely pasta dinner. Carmela spent some time in italy and makes excellent sauces. Finally, the prices were reasonable... More

The food here is pretty delicious and at a decent price. It's by no means the best food you're going to try in Colombia (or Cartagena) for that matter but it's at a good price - especially for dinner.

Our starters were calamari and eggplant parmesan - fantastic. Our mains were the fish of the day, bass, in a vegetable sauce, with coco rice. Simple and very tasty. We enjoyed one bottle of house wine, all for about 63,000 COP. A great value. Menu is limited, which is good, as they only prepare a few items a day, and... More

This restaurant exudes the warmth of Carmela and her husband. They are anxious to please and take tremendous price in what they do. It is a casual place where you often find Carmela, her husband and their daughter sitting in the restaurant with friends.

We've gone back a few times and intend to return for our last lunch! This place offers very tasty home cooking which for its value and quality makes it the best choice we've found!

Restaurant looks great really cozy and I wish to food would match that but unfortunately it is not the case. Again cannot complain as prices are really affordable but overall food quality is not that great.

First, this is NOT a "five star" place. It is great for what it is. Also, the one we went to is located at Calle Segunda de Badillo, near Plaza Fernandez de Madrid. I assume it's the same place, but the address above doesn't look correct... It is a very simple restaurant - fans, not A/Cs, etc. But the bathroom... More
