Went here with some friends. The food was good and they had a great menu for foreigners. I got something off their specials menu and although good, was not what I was expecting. My dessert got a little mixed up but the waiter was very nice about it and solved my problem without issue. We will definitely be returning.

Nice meeting and melting point not far away from the Kempinski Hotel were we were staying at. Lots of books, nice host and good food. If you are looking for a meeting point, Bookworm is the place to go.

We came here for the books at first but we're soon seduced by the relaxing atmosphere - you can browse or sit and read for hours! - comfy couches and ice cold beers! We didn't have a full meal here but the Caesar salad and chips were great.

The Bookworm has lots going on from it's international literature festival to comedy nights and musical performance but the most important thing is it's an oasis in the city. It's quiet, it has good coffee, comfortable seating and usually reliable wi-fi. They sell good western food and nice cold drinks and are generous on the measures. A great place to... More

We chose the Bookworm because of its recommendation in the two main guide books. It's location, a sort taxi ride south from the city centre isn't disastrous, until you want to go back into the centre, then getting a cab is test of patience and arm-waving. The food was average quality and, for China, on the pricey side. The decor... More

We went on a Sunday afternoon to listen to live music. The vibe is laid back and relaxing, and the food is very good. We had the Thai Chicken and the cheeseburger, and both servings were plentiful. The best thing about The Bookworm is the ambiance. It is cozy, relazing, and friendly.

The Bookworm had been recommended to me by several friends & I wasn't disappointed. As soon as we walked through the doors there was such a lovely, relaxed atmosphere. The place is full of ex pats and I only wish there had been live music the night we dined here as I'm sure it would have been a lot of... More

Great place to get connected with other expats, but also meet some nice local people. Quiet if you want to read or get some work done. Extremely friendly atmosphere

We had a nice evening with good food, fancy drinks and a lot of nice people. The Bookworm is a good spot to meet expats.

Perfect place to end the evening with a beer, wine or whisky. The food is OK to good but not fantastic but the atmosphere is very nice.
