The first restaurant I step into when I first got to Chengdu and trying to adapt to the food and culture. The environment is good to chillax! Spend some time reading, or surfing the web here during weekend would be awesome. Aside from that there are many events going on in here daily!

It's Western, yes. It's expensive, yes. But Bookworm is one of my favourite places in Chengdu. It's cosy, serves good food (veg burger is a must try!), good drinks (English Breakfast tea oh and don't forget to try hot Coke and ginger!), has sweet atmosphere, with friendly staff, and the walls and covered in books. They also hold jazz nights,... More

Ex-pats flock here as a home from home meeting place. Traditional European food served for those who crave it after Huoguo. Nice selection of wine, had 5 bottles of great red last time, pity it was a Sunday eve :(

If I lived in Chengdu, I will be a regular for sure! As a traveller, I had a wonderful time chillng in this little paradise. Great coffee, really tasty western food, good lounge music, lots, lots og books to browse, graze, swap or buy. Relaxing and inspiring. I love this.

Your menu is a book...its big, caters for all taste..but waiting staff still only speak basic English!! Good priced wines...good food, well cooked, nothing fancy... I had chicken pie & chips. Very nice... Fish & chips looked fab, Asian pork yummy & spicy.. Busy with lots of expats... Open late which I've found is unusual... Place busy. Good lace to... More

This is simply a good place which is consistently good, keep it up. Have gone on a regular basis for their trivia night and other events, a good burger.

My family and I have come here a few times now. It's a nice quite location off the main streets. Food is pretty good, and lots of books to brows and buy if you wish. There are weekly shows and open mic nights that cost little to nothing. Lots of expats found here too. My some won the Halloween costume... More

Went here with some friends. The food was good and they had a great menu for foreigners. I got something off their specials menu and although good, was not what I was expecting. My dessert got a little mixed up but the waiter was very nice about it and solved my problem without issue. We will definitely be returning.

Nice meeting and melting point not far away from the Kempinski Hotel were we were staying at. Lots of books, nice host and good food. If you are looking for a meeting point, Bookworm is the place to go.

We came here for the books at first but we're soon seduced by the relaxing atmosphere - you can browse or sit and read for hours! - comfy couches and ice cold beers! We didn't have a full meal here but the Caesar salad and chips were great.
