Was happy to try out this place due to its place on tripadvisor but they really disappointed me. My Chinese friends couldnt get a Chinese menu (!) and they staff had no clue what was in the different dishes. The pasta had no flavor at all and one pizza was burnt and the other very soggy dough, both pizzas were... More

Hi, We are really sorry that you experienced a less then optimal visit to our place. From your specifics I conclude that you visited our place more then six weeks ago (because we do have a Chinese menu since then). At that time we were open for about two months. During those two months I have been training staff. Several... More

We found this restaurant on our third pass- it's easy to miss from the street as it's perched up on the third tier of a commercial building, but the signage is clear enough if you're looking in the right place. The interior layout has an obviously European feel to it (something that you'd probably only pick up on if you'd... More

We'd heard about Nuhi's Deli over the last couple months - first after the closing of Kaffestugan and then with the breads they donated to the Startup Weekend event (delicious) - and we'd been chatting about how much we miss good Italian food in Chengdu. On a lark we decided to try out their full spread last night and we... More

It's been a long time since I have had a decent authentic Italian style pizza. I opted for the four seasons. It's great to finally find a place in China that does not skimp on the toppings. I saved the best two slices until last Parma ham with Parma cheese. I hope they can keep up this amazing standard. Perfect.

The Korean/Swedish owners are moving to Seoul in mid-May 2014 and have sold their cafe to others. The new concept is Italian with home-baked bread--but I was assured that the Scandinavian open-face sandwiches will continue on the menu. A sad day for Chengdu....

Hi, The Swedish open sandwiches will return, as promised, although we might change the recipes to match our aspirations regarding freshness and simplicity. We are working very hard to provide the freshest breads and ingredients daily but it takes time for a new business to figure out how to make, purchase and manage them. For the open sandwiches we need... More

We almost always eat the Pytt i Panna with eggs and it's always very good. Our son also often take the swedish meatballs and mashed potato which I also can recommend. The coffe is probably the best in whole Chengdu and accompanied with swedish waffles it's a perfect match. The service is always very good and it's an welcoming atmosphere.

Stugen is my favorite Cafe in Chengdu. Since finding it I have been going steadily for the last 2 years or so and it never gets old. Large selection of delicious hand brewed coffee as well as home made sweets, cakes, schnapps and of course delicious meal selections. In the winter now they have been making a "soup of the... More

Just had a great brunch at cafe stuggen. I had a potato and pork fryup with two fried eggs and a refreshing cup of Brazilian coffee. Great start to a Saturday in the Du. The family had various sandwiches with salmon and shrimps. The owners are a lovely couple and we have going here for years, because they are genuinely... More

We've been on the road for four months now, traveling overland through South East Asia and making the mistake of continuously seeking out the little western restaurants and cafes. This one was a very pleasant surprise, probably the best we've found on our trip. We had an open smoked salmon sandwich, coffee, swedish scones that come with yummy cheese (and... More

Run, do not walk, to Kaffestugan. It serves the best coffee that I've had in China. It serves delicious snacks and smoothies. If we'd have been there for dinner, I would've tried the bigger dishes like the meatballs, but... The best part about Kaffestugan was the owners. They are lovely, generous people who provided us with maps and advice, games... More
