Description: Once you come in to this traditional trattoria style bungalow, you will be absorbed by the smell of corkwood. The decoration is simple but pleasant, giving out a feeling of the Mediterranean. Just like the decoration, the dishes are mostly prepared in traditional and authentic Italian home cooking style with a strong Napolitano influence. The pleasantry of dining would start right from the aperitifs. Not only Campari and sparkling wines, but also some different kinds of spritz are on its menu. Though there are not too many soup options on the menu, the myriad of antipasti are more than just brilliant. A featured specialty of the appetizer is the Antipasto Misto, a plateful of prosciutto di Parma, salami, and some other Italian cold cuts. Besides these more traditional Italian treats, there also some maritime entries such as caviar, fresh huitres (imported oysters) , salmon slices and tuna , some of which are added onto the menu by the requests of local Chinese customers. Most liked by its customers are the pasta entries, all made with semolina flour and extra virgin olive oil; however, the chef himself would prefer the Angus beef (all imported from Australia). Stefano, who has worked in the food service industry for 27 years, recently added grill to its offerings. Unlike many other classy Italian restaurants, Napoli serves big and crunchy broiled steaks ( Fiorentina 800 grams ) that carry with them a very authentic Italian taste. As suggested by Stefano, the restaurant’s featured wine Aglianico would go best with the steaks, as it’s made with grapes grown in the lava-drenched soil near the formidable Volcano of Vesuvius. Also worth a bite is the Italian style pizzas rich in mozzarella, the seafood risotto and last but not least the special tiramisu. If you do want to make a return to Sorrento, Napoli Wine Bar and Restaurant will definitely be the best choice. Come for a sip of fine wine and indulge yourself in the Italian hospitality and all that Stefano and his staff have to offer. And please make sure you have planned a visit to the new branch of Napoli to be opened in April.

This restaurant had closed down when I went at the end of September 2013. It looked pretty permanent.

I'm Italian but I write in english .. I really felt good in this restaurant! I went there 3 days ago during a Chinese business trip. Elegant spaces and waiters very polite! I also enjoyed new traditional italian cakes ( they came from 80's years ....very old italian recipe ) :-) all the best! Lara Milano Italy

Really pretty good Italian food. A little dead at lunch time but we ate late. The service was good and the tuna salad was really nice.

I found this restaurant at tripadvisor, and it seemed to be reviewed pretty highly. Because of the pictures I saw, I didn't have any high expectations about the food and service, but there doesn't seem to be many Western dining choices. When I arrived at this restaurant, it was worse than I expected. I felt like I was dining in... More

I found this restaurant on magazine in Hotel, I was impressed about the large selection of wine and dishes. The outside of the restaurant does not reflect the interior, very elegant and relaxing, the manager said that the restaurant has been renovated,I enjoyed real italian jazz music in background. The waitress offered me a welcome drink, one glass of prosecco directly... More

The pros and cons apart, this place is a departure from the din to a peaceful eatery with no show-offs. I was visiting this with my friend at an unusual hour, around 4.30pm, but yet the staff there rose to the occasion.....not so great an ambience but what is required for a nice eating place are all there. Food, ofcourse... More

Food was ok but not amzing and quite expensive. No atmosphere, the service is good as there is one lady staff speaking English, but if you ask something to others they don't understand. I was surprised by the staff attitude. The boss and his son just took a table before the end of the service and ate in front of... More

I visited this restaurant after a long work day on a Friday and it was a magical place to unwind. The owner and chef were wonderful people and the wait staff took care of us very well. The food was fantastic. We had a very large and very long meal and I enjoyed the wide variety we were able to... More
