Expats

LPG is a staple of Qingdao. The owner is French you will see him around I promise. Expats go here to get drunk or start the night either way you are coming for alcohol and to meet up with people. You are not coming for the food, they do serve it, but you should probably not eat it. If you... read more

Here's my quick review of LPG Bar and Café. It's not so much of a café but a bar. It's always crowded with the same old foreigners and so on. The decoration was cool but the atmosphere is not my style. The music is was quite loud yet it promotes a social atmosphere. If your interested in checking out another... More

One of the most popular expat bars in Qingdao. Beer is cold, the food is average but the service (like a lot of bars in China) is not very good. Good for sports though.

This place is excellent. It has a mixture of local and expat clientele, attentive service, good music - mostly western - cheap (and cold) Tsingtao beer, super cocktails (with a happy two hours). The food is multicultural, and I can recommend the chili. The landlord and landlady - Phillipe and Mandy - make such an effort to make everyone welcome.

I was in Qingdao working with a Vacation Club and after work it was great to unwind at LPG bar, where the hosts Mandy and Pierre offer a warm friendly welcome. There is Live sports, so I could watch the soccer while sipping a few of the local beers. The food is great and the service is rapido. There is... More

Good atmosphere: see the locals playing cards and drinking...too much. Prices: go ahead and order. For "expats" this is a great place to stay.

Expensive drinks, normal expat western type food on offer, but is a place to meet up with others.
