Not impressive!

I visited the restaurant expecting to have something different for the Russian food. I was pretty disappointed. I ordered a steak. It was served with some vegetables and presentation was flat. My pizza was not that nice. I think pizza hut basically do a better job. My Russian borsch soup was... read more

My general impression of the restaurant is a good one. The interior and menu give the atmosphere of the early XX ct. Russia without being tacky (the velvet uniforms of the waitresses aside). English and Russian menu available, and there is waitress that speaks both. The service was fast, the waitress helpful; borsch and Kiev chicken ("chicken roll" on the... More

The 'Russian' staff (I'm assuming they were Russian as they didn't speak any English and were not Chinese) were the furthest thing from friendly. The meal was dreadful. Plated, so we had no choice what we got and outrageously prices. The mushroom soup was no more than melted butter in milk with about a dozen bits of chopped mushroom. Multiple... More

We were a party of 4 and ordered our starter which arrived quickly and before we finished eating it, our mains arrived minus the vegetables. We waited a while but as our meal was getting cold we started to eat it and re-ordered the veg.We finished what we had, still minus the vegetables, so we cancelled the veg. Then proceeded... More

We came here with a group of 9 people and were really disappointed. Besides unfriendly staff (which is quite normal in Harbin) the food is really bad. They don't have most of the Russian dishes that are on the menu. The cheese plate is just 5 slices of processed cheese, the chicken was rock-hard (they obviously used frozen meat and... More

The local dongbei cuisine is not traditionally very vary and after a while it would be nice to change the taste. The food here it's not fantastic but the Russian beer is way better than the local one. Service is inconsistent and the timing is poor, but so far there are not many other not Chinese choices in town. Overpriced.

Old style decor and staff in period costume make this a fun place. We got a set menu for 2. It seemed the best value and let us try a variety of their dishes on offer and cost less than ordering a la carte. Most customers seemed to choose a set menu. Ours included bread and butter, beef stew, borscht... More

The staff ignored us at the door, tey took to long to takes us to the table, to bring the menu, to take our order and to bring the food. The salad was over priced, since it was 45rmb for a really small simple salada (I had bigger side dishes salads) and we ask to return it. But the moment... More

We dined here as the other option was closed. The restaurant is cozy enough, however the presentation and care could be improved. We sat down for the set menu for two people, and little did we know that ALL of the food would be delivered at the same time, very quickly...so that told us that the food was prepared ahead... More

We chose this restaurant because, quite frankly, having lived in China for nearly a year, we were sick of Chinese food. I'm really glad we went in. The atmosphere is great, but it is a bit cold. They have some set menus with 7-course meals that are worth their price. I highly recommend the Perch in Cream Sauce, the Tomato... More
