The local dongbei cuisine is not traditionally very vary and after a while it would be nice to change the taste. The food here it's not fantastic but the Russian beer is way better than the local one. Service is inconsistent and the timing is poor, but so far there are not many other not Chinese choices in town. Overpriced.

Old style decor and staff in period costume make this a fun place. We got a set menu for 2. It seemed the best value and let us try a variety of their dishes on offer and cost less than ordering a la carte. Most customers seemed to choose a set menu. Ours included bread and butter, beef stew, borscht... More

The staff ignored us at the door, tey took to long to takes us to the table, to bring the menu, to take our order and to bring the food. The salad was over priced, since it was 45rmb for a really small simple salada (I had bigger side dishes salads) and we ask to return it. But the moment... More

We dined here as the other option was closed. The restaurant is cozy enough, however the presentation and care could be improved. We sat down for the set menu for two people, and little did we know that ALL of the food would be delivered at the same time, very quickly...so that told us that the food was prepared ahead... More

We chose this restaurant because, quite frankly, having lived in China for nearly a year, we were sick of Chinese food. I'm really glad we went in. The atmosphere is great, but it is a bit cold. They have some set menus with 7-course meals that are worth their price. I highly recommend the Perch in Cream Sauce, the Tomato... More

I have just come back from that place after a dreadful dinner with my wife (I am italian and she is chinese from near Harbin). The decor is OK, was told most of it is the original setting since the opening of this restaurant. Being just in the middle of the Chinese New Year festivities we were told that only... More

Touted as a Russian Restaurant yet does not serve Russian food. What is on offer is an eclectic mix of chinese food and derivatives of an unrecognisable cuisine! The menu descriptions do not match the product put before you at all and what is offered is very disappointing. Overpriced for what you get and not at all appetizing. I ordered... More

The entrance of the restaurant seems cozy so we decided to have our dinner here. We order one of the most expansive set meal for about 496 rmb for 2 people and 480 ml of blueberry wine for 120 rmb. The set meal consist of Borsch, caviar, bread, steak, salad, dessert, fish, prawns and a pot of mushroom stew. The... More

I'm also from China's Northeast, but I have little knowledge about real Russian dishes. Tatos firstly attracted me and my family was its front image and inner decoration. We felt we were brought back to a century ago in a restaurant just set up by some Russian explorers in this far east city. Everything looked old and vintage, including the... More
