It's place was not very popular, the owner would sometimes dance outside the bar dressed in various costumes, mainly mittitary. Service was extremely slow and bartenders were very rude to foreigners. It has now been closed for almost a year so if you have read some of the reviews and still wanted to visit, don't bother....

Bartender was horrible. Menu limited. Ordered a hot dog, but they were unable to cook one at that time. Not sure why. A lot of the decorations are very sexual in nature. Which doesn't offend me but may offend others, especially those with children. I am back in Harbin for work and have no intentions of going back. take that... More

The only good thing about the place are its decorations. I went on a Friday night and it was empty. The staff were so rude! I asked for a gin & tonic and she very rudely said they didn't have it even thought they do... And continued to stare at me in that stupid high and mighty sort of way.... More

An overtly kitch pit stop in the middle of Central St. When it is -35 outside, you need to take hot chocolate / coffee breaks each hour or so - this place was a bit of a laugh. Amongst the kitch on the walls, some of it was so off target and - well - frankly inappropriate (erotic novelties) that... More

Great interior to this bar, with all kinds of US memorabilia, among others, and some good, while unassuming, food. [E.g., great sandwiches!] Good beer, too, and reasonable prices. Desultory service, unfortunately. Just opposite the (helpful) Tourist Office, near the top of the mall, and a short walk from the river.

This is really a true tourist spot - but it does serve a good seletion of coffees, including a great version of an Irish Coffee, which come as a welcome relief on a freezing cold day. The food menu is very limited but the fries were good. Prices we found the same as most places we visited - we live... More

There are not many western bars in Zhongyang Lu, this is the more obviouse one. At first glance it looks good. The toilets were disgusting, the drinks expensive (30rmb for a thimble sized glass of bailey's). But at least it was warm in there.

USA Bucks is an "American decor" tourist restaurant located toward the north end of Zhongyang Dajie - the pedestrian street in Harbin. The place is decorated with American highway souvenirs and other knick knacks and has a warm atmosphere. The coffee is very good and served quickly - important after spending time outside in the winter here. The food (mostly... More
