People need to stop confusing not speaking english with not being polite. The staff are friendly and the prices are really good for the quality of the food, especially when you compare them to some of the other "western" menu restaraunts in town. I think the people who are saying the staff are not polite have walked in expecting to... More

Hamamas is a very warm welcoming place though it's small. The idea is to have an oasis for Foreigners a way out. The owner and workers are trying their best to keep the standard, and I personally believe that's why they keep their business. Hopefully they will find a big place. It's a great place to sooth your homesick, and... More

We love heading to Hamamas for their famous carrot cake! The atmosphere is very relaxed there and the girls who serve are also very sweet! Our kids love their food! They also have amazing coffee (which you can now get to-go). We usually choose Hamamas while walking around town. We know the owners and they are wonderful people! It is... More

I have been living in Harbin for two and a half years already, but that was supposed to be my very first time at Hamamas. I seldom stay in Harbin on the weekends, once fun is very limited! Anyways, I went there last Saturday (Mar, 3rd). Overcrowded, but that doesn't mean necessarily too many people as the place is very... More

The restaurant is so popular among students and foreigners that live in Harbin but on the other hand, so small and there isn´t area enough to accomodate all clients, including off-peak hours. Even the clients, that already finish the meal, never vacate the tables for others clients that are standing waiting and the restaurant employee only asks to you wait... More

its probably the only legit western restaurant!! their food is amazing!! just too generous on the dressings and sauces. its a really small restaurant and always full so dont expect to show up and be seated right away. they have great deserts! even carrot cake! :) their drinks aren't that good though. just overly sweetened stuff. but their burgers, club... Great western food, coffee and deserts. If you need a break from Chinese food this is probably the best place in Harbin to get it. A relaxed atmosphere and friendly staff. Around 50 yuan for a meal, drink, and desert. Highly recommended.

Great food, great service. Family, foreign and Chinese friendly. Always relaxing and friendly. Note: I visited before Sept. 2010 but that's the earliest choice the tripadvisor had.

Great place to get a cup of coffee, some good food, with the friendliest service in Harbin, and a perfect place to meet other expats or foreign students, have to say that Hamamas became an essential part of my life during my time studying in Harbin. Place is run by a foreign couple who are extremely friendly.
