Temple at Xiamen

This is a good vegetarian option at the Temple. Really attentive and honest staff. Doesn't take credit cards.

They serve good european food and a selction of wines and beers. You sit within the temple courtyard with all the splendour orf the altar behind you.

Housed inside an old temple down a lively alley, the setting at Temple Cafe cannot be beat. It's very cool. I went for lunch on a Sunday afternoon and it's worth the trek from wherever you are staying because the whole area around Temple Cafe is full of life. Plenty to see, eat and do. I'd come back for a... More

It is becoming difficult in Xiamen to find good western style food for reasonable prices. In the Temple you can enjoy simple food of good quality and enjoy a reasonably priced drink while enjoying the remarkable atmosphere in this still operational temple.

Quite unique atmosphere, good food, nice staff, cheap! We had a lovely dinner, and we also bought take-away for the next day. Just sad that we didn't find this place earlier, now we are going home after six-months stay in China, where food has been a great issue for us, cause it is so hard to find some decent one!!

One of Xiamen's hidden gems and certainly one of Xiamen's more unique bar concepts. Reasonable prices, Good Pub Food, nice selection of beers, most importantly one of Xiamen's best places for mixed drinks which are still rare in Xiamen.

Very cool place, once a temple, now a fantastic cafe to grap some good food and a beer.`It`s located in the ZengCuoAn cultural village which has a very cool vibe and is day and night to the city center just over the mountain

I love hanging out at Temple Cafe on a nice day and drinking one of their totally reasonably priced mojitos (alcohol in a temple... what!?) Their pizzas are also pretty good, but the atmosphere is the main draw here.
