Best Mexican Food in Xiamen

It's a bit pricey for a restaurant in Xiamen and by foreign standards, it's nothing special per-say. Nevertheless, if you are looking for great Mexican food in Xiamen (or China in general), drop by here.

So-so Mexican - if you're craving Mexican, I guess it's okay, but there are so many better food options in Xiamen. I would say its good comfort food for expats.

It's China, so my husband and I devoured the food with relish. However, at the end of the meal, we concluded that the food was pretty mediocre. That being said, there isn't an abundance of Mexican food in Southern China, so you take what you can get! I have heard La Cantina is really good, but have yet to try... More

I eat here on regular base. The food is OK but mainly all dishes taste the same. But as the taste is good that's not a big problem to me. They have a good fresh draft beer and the prices are reasonable. On top of that the staff is very friendly making you feel welcome. And if you're lucky you... More

Went for dinner as it's near our hotel and we liked it! Service is surprisingly good and the food was so yummy! It does take a while to get your food but it's definitely worth the wait.

This is a great Mexican by Chinese standards (its Chinese operated). The food is verging on authentic and very tasty nonetheless. I'm not local and just on a business trip from Shanghai, but it seems this place is home to quite a significant American community judging by the other tables. They do a decent draught lager and its spicy, but... More

Thank for your review. I only want to make a correction to your statement about being Chinese ownership, as my wife and I own this restaurant and I am an American citizen having lived in Xiamen for 13 years. However the past few years we have been spending more time back in the states and during our absence my wife... More

Great mexican food and atmosphere. Margareta's are good and you can also get a good burger here. I like to go for a walk afterward along the lake, so beautiful.

It's hard to find good Mexican food, especially being abroad in China and when you've lived in San Francisco your whole life. This place was pretty good. Didn't have the same burrito we were looking for but still very good! Friendly staff and great food, what more could you ask for!

Had a fantastic dinner here. Nachos, enchiladas, burritos... Certainly the best Mexican food I've had in China. The staff were wonderful, very friendly, efficient, took the time to explain the menu, offered recommendations. Really this meal couldn't have been any better....Except for price: food prices are very fair and reasonable, cocktail prices are not. (my only complaint!) 60 kuai margaritas,... More

The restaurant itself makes you feel that you are not in Xiamen (which is nice). The menu (one in chinese, one in English) offers a good choice of Mexican and other western food! The point which didn't really satisfied me was the efficiency of the waiters and the kitchen! The restaurant wasn't really busy for lunch but still we had... More
