My husband and I visited Sabores Restaurant twice during our visit to Punta Arenas in Patagonia. Both times we were impressed with the food preparation, the presentation, the prices and the great service. In the 2 visits we had the opportunity to try the Paila Marina which is a typical seafood soup (all fresh seafood!), the Calamari, the Salmon, the... More

We went to the Sabores on Sunday evening (note it closes at 8:45 on Sunday....about the time most restaurants in Chile open!). Huge menu with wide variety of options. We had the seafood soup (excellent!), Merluzza fish with crab sauce, grilled salmon and the usual sides. All of the food was well prepared and of excellent quality. Service was terrible!... More

This restaurant was recommended by our Bed & Breakfast host as a good place that would be open on a Sunday evening. My husband ordered a bowl of seafood soup as a starter, then we both ordered a fish dinner and a salad. We waited & waited for everything. He had to ask for his beer three times and they... More

Like many other restaurants in Chile, the dishes are very large servings. I liked the calamares a pilpil. We also had congrio in capers but the sauce was cream-based as opposed to white wine. The restaurant is lively and friendly, we enjoyed our meal there.

Food was good. Menu presented a lot of dishes and we had three of them. All were good and price at the end was ok. Atmosphere is ok and service is normal but not slow. Sweets were great :)

This restaurant has been recommended to us by locals and it did not disappoint us. Friendly staff, good quality fresh food, lovely, "homely" atmosphere and good value for money.

We were there twice based on recommendations from locals and their dishes/service are generally of good quality at a more or less reasonable price for the area. I would probably avoid their pasta dishes, as they are very Chileanized and is not what I wanted for an authentic Italian pasta experience.

The service is good. They have a big menu to choose different meals. I had the bad luck that I had the salmon with garlic, and didn't feel right of my stomach all day long... too mcuh garlic I thinks so. The calafate pisco sour is really good.

Enjoy the freshest fish at Sabores. Great upstairs location in the heart of Punta Arenas. Attentive staff, fabulous selection of fresh local seafood. Calamari was prepared to perfection. A must if you are looking for excellent seafood at a very reasonable price.
