You can't miss La Marmita because its colorful character and design draws you in. Once inside they have very nice artsy design, a fun bar and excellent food. Try the calafate sour and it will set you on a culinary trip you'll hardly forget. If you can, make reservations because it can get crowded and, believe me, you don't want... More

I am glad we had a meal here because it was delicious! Everything from the entree to the main to the dessert was fantastic, we were licking our plates clean (not literally of course!). The service was also great, and just the whole feel of the place was warm and inviting.

We had dinner here every night when we visited in December 2012. Given our back packing/trekking trip this was a splurge worth every cent! Great food, excellent staff, great atmosphere. My vegetarian partner felt as well taken care of as I did.

As indicated by the vast majority or reviews, this restaurant was fabulous. Besides the eclectic atmosphere, gracious wait staff and titillating cocktails, they have a very reasonable happy hour menu. Lasagna or a pasta and dessert for $5000 Chilean paseos! Tremendous deal and the best meal so far in Chile! I will be going back before I leave Punta Arenas!

on our arrival to chile our b&b recommended this restaurant. we were anxious for some pisco sours meal of local food. we were not disappointed. the cozy atmosphere added to a wonderful meal. lamb and hare, both stewed were heavenly. the wine was great and the pisco sours were the best we had in all of chile during our three... ongrio eel is the best in town. The veggie dishes are very good as well for those who are vegetarian. The chef will make something up special for your dietary needs.

The restaurant has a unique decoration and it makes it cozy. I guess is family own restaurant, and they service was very high-quality. For vegetarians there are 4 or 5 different plates, not the usual salad that you find in Chile, this was REAL food. The menu listed charquican with cochayuyo, pastas and risotto. I tried the charquican and it... More

We arrived to La Marmita following the suggestion of Lonely Planet and Tripadvisor. We were not disappointed. Great and warm athmosphere, smiley and polite waitresses and vaste choice of local dishes (both meat and fish). Service was fast. Only the wines didnt meet our high expectation but we got it changed for free. Definetely a place to reccommend

We had dinner there the only night we spent in Punta Arenas on our way to Torres del Paine. The place has a lively atmosphere. We had delicious fish dishes. The Shackleton beer was very nice. They don't accept credit cards, but that didn't come as a surprise. We were told when we made the reservation. Definitely worth a visit.... More

This was the best restaurant I had been to in South America. Lamb stew was amazing, great pisco sour and chocolate with calafate mouse will make it a certain fact I will be back.
