Really liked this little restaurant - my boyfriend and I both had delicious dishes and the cocktails were tasty too. Definitely recommend this restaurant if you're staying nearby.

This is a very cute restaurant. It's a cozy space with lots of interesting art and knick-knacks. I didn't expect much for the food in Punta Arenas, but this was surprisingly good. I had a pasta dish that was simple and satisfying.

They only accept cash. They had live music playing (jazz) upstairs which was very nice. It cost a little extra to sit up there so we just sat down stairs (we could hear it perfectly well). They made good drinks and pride themselves on local (Chilean) only products. The food wasn't as good as I had hoped but the general... More

I ate here twice with a large group, we were delighted with the quality of the food, both the meat eaters, fish eaters and veggies all enjoyed our meals which were prepared with fresh ingredients and care. The wine list had some excellent Chilean wines at very reasonable prises (£9- for a good Syrah that you would pay a similar... More

Bottom Line: Go for the atmosphere – it’s one of the best in Chile but the food is just above average for the price. The Food: The cuisine is above average but not exceptional. The food is a contemporary take on Chilean cuisine. They offer delicious fare that showcases regional meats and sauces that are easily paired with the restaurants’... More

Visited La Marmita twice during two separate occasions when I was in Punta Arenas both on the way to and way back from Punta Arenas. The food was varied, interesting and delicious. Friendly staff with great wines to accompany. Would highly recommend you eating here if you find yourself in Punta Arenas.

After checking out the comments in Trip Advisor, my wife and I decided to have lunch here. Our expectations were rather high, but it turned out we didn't eat much and didn't even get to the dessert. It started out well with a really good bread bun. We asked for the Hare and the Guanaco. Both were equally bad. The... More

Great food - and very innovative for Chile. Friendly staff as well - we'd give it give stars if the prices were a tad lower ($40-50 for a 2-person lunch) but it's well worth a little extra expense. Highly recommended.

Called at La Marmita on the recommendation of our hotel. It is a lively place with quirky decor. We both had a conger fish fillet followed by a delicious chocolate desert and the Pisco Sour served in martini glasses were divine. Note the restaurant only accepts cash.
