if you look somewhere to eat, look somewhere else, there are better alternatives downtown. Service is nice, but is the food quality that is not good.

Eating in the orangery/conservatory of this beautiful old building was definitely the highlight of our two nights in Punta Arenas (we liked it so much we went back!) The food was delicious - they specialise in seafood, but we also had a fantastic dish with crispy gnocchi and lamb. There is a very good wine list as well. But above... More

Hotel Jose Nogueira If you ever visit Punta Arenas and want to experience the elegance and beauty of its golden age, you must stay at this fine hotel and eat at its restaurant La Pergola to enjoy its world class service. This is the only one of the very beautifully preserved palaces of the late 19th century where you can... More

We're were a group of 8 and had two visits in early January. All the rooms are different, but well appointed and very comfortable. All in a grand old style. Wifi is included, which seems to be the norm in Chile. The restaurant was also very good and we enjoyed excellent roast lamb and salmon. Wines great too, of course.... More

Although we had an excellent dinner experience, we couldn't pay with the credit card! Even though the hotel accept any credit card, you can't pay the restaurant with it. It's just an absurd. We had to go find an ATM, pay that ridiculous fare of 3000CLP to draw the money and pay the check. Thank you Jose Nogueira for ruining... More

We did not stay here but had one lovely meal in our own little dining rm. There were a dozen of us so we saw many entrees & we all enjoyed what we ordered. Main dine rm is gorgeous with real grape vines from ceiling! The bar is loaded w great water colours.

Stayed here on stop-over travelling from Torres del Paine back to Santiago. Decent clean accommodation and good location, does the job.

We went for lunch with a tour group in Jan 2012 and found it to be a special treat! It is in an old mansion with dark paneled walls in many rooms. We were in the sun room. Very elegant with excellent food. Our roast lamb had been cooked slowly for about 12 hours and was delicious. Highly recommended for... More
