Best place to eat in Antofagasta. Great service, food is delicious, but you better make reservation because it can get crowded.

The atmoshpere is like a typical restaurant, the location is the center of town, and the wine and food are incredible. You can't buy wine buy the glass in all the restaurants I went to in the area, so get your drinking game on. We had no problem finishing the excellent wine we had for lunch anyway woth our group.... It´s a good place to share with friends. Can start with a Mixed Ceviches (Raw fish cooked with lemon and spices) and for drink a Pisco Sour. Then Ask for a Filete Saltado con Papas huancaina, acomplished with a good bottle of Carmenere Wine. Pls From Thursday to Saturday Night Ask for a reservation before. enjoy it

Very good long menu, as with the wine list. The ambience is excellent and the service was as good as it gets. Not the cheapest but very good value for money.

Good food. Nice selection of desserts. The restaurant doesn't have anything special (no view, fireplace, etc). Service is good.

I would have to say the best meal in Anto. Great selection of drinks and wines, well prepared and presented meals - great staff, very friendly and always accommodating. I have been in Anto long enough to probably go through the entire menu at Amares, and I have enjoyed all their dishes. My personal favorites were Lomo Saltado and their... More

Amares was a surprise! The food was rich, intense and luscious. Joan described it as ‘serious’ food, ‘Michelin-quality’. It is owned by Chileans, but the head chef was Peruvian. Joan had Mahi-mahi in a very rich cream sauce and I had BBQ Pork, the meat was tender and juicy and the sauce was decadent. Joan has determined that this restaurant... More

The food was excellent, also the wine. We went, unbooked, on a Tuesday night and were given a table with no problem. The restaurant was busy and filled up further whilst we were there. Service was good, pleasant waiting staff. Downside: the music was too loud and not conducive to the dark room dining experience.

Amares Costafusion is a good example of how far Antofagasta has come in the past 3 or 4 years. Not long ago the restaurant options were general inferior, both with regard to cuisine and to service. Now there are good alternatives. Amares lives up to its booking as Trip Advisor's No. 1. The food is excellent: fresh ingredients presented in... More

Visited here twice so far with business colleagues during a three-week stay in Antofagasta. Amares certainly lived up to its reputation on both occasions. Great Peruvian pisco sour, excellent wines, wonderful ceviche concoctions, the pulpo chimichurri is to die for and I had the best lomo salteado I have ever eaten. Can only say that I hope I get to...
