Excellent food and good value for money. The serving of the schnitzel was HUGE. I joked with the owner that it was 'small', then he looked at my plate and said "you are right. it is too small. So sorry". He then went back to the kitchen and a few minutes later the waitress came out with another piece of... More

Owner Roman does an incredible job. The Vienna schnitzel is out of this world. We've been travelling for 9 months and have a hard time recalling a meal we've enjoyed so much.

This place can be a little tricky to find, but tell the tuk-tuk driver to take you near the crocodile farm and this place is not hard to spot. If you have Google maps, you're laughing. US$2 should get you a one-way trip there from Siem Reap, some drivers are happy to wait till you're done eating for a guarantee... More

Trying to find a restaurant in the evening- unsuccessfully. Desperated, because already tired of local cuisine and wanted a nice piece of meat. The next day found a photo of the restaurant's business card on the internet and shown it to the tuk-tuk's driver, he also could not find the restaurant immediately. But In the end - yes! The restaurant... More

I was very hungry after did a whole-day Ang Kor Wat tour and just wanted some real, stomach-filling food. Schnitzel Wirtin is definitely the best place in Siem Reap to met my expectations. Roman's huge portion of the scnitzel with the traditional potato salad flushed with a great german wheat beer was so good that I would recommend to anybody... More

Situated in a quiet spot by the river, you feel like you're miles away even though it's only a 5 minute tuk-tuk ride from the middle of town. The covered, outdoor seating area is very relaxing and has plenty of well-placed ceiling fans that keep it comfortable even on the hottest of days. Great for lunch or dinner, Schnitzel Wirtin... I am Austrian and I know a good Schnitzel when I see (taste) one and let me tell you, this is Austrian food at it's best. Roman has created this little piece of Wiener Gemuetlichkeit (=Viennese cosyness) in Siem Reap. My recommendations are, of course the Vienna Schnitzel, the beef Gulasch and, if you pre-order, the traditional Wiener Backhendl (fried... More

I was a little tired with all the local food and wanted something different. I went to the Schnitzel Wirtin for lunch. The owner (Roman - I hope the spelling is correct) was great. We spent a bit of time chatting and I learned of his experiences in high quality cooking on cruise liners. I went for a schnitzel with... More
