Ate here twice

I was impressed the Indian food especially for the price. I guess I haven't traveled to India so I cant speak as to authenticity but I thought the food was great The restaurants around the night market can be kind of pricey, but Ababa was a good deal. I enjoyed the chicken quite a bit. Also the... read more

We popped in during our visit to the Night Market. The food was terrific but the service was poor. I think this was due to the owner being the only one capable of taking orders. Perhaps because of Chinese New Year. Bahjis were delicious but we never get the accompanying sauces. Curry was good but the raita was forgotten and... More

After reading all the good reviews we made a point of trying it while visiting the night market: a true disappointment! It's not Indian, it's not Cambodian and it's not Mama (the place claims it does a mix of Malay-Indian-Cambodian). Tasteless, unappealing and in general grim. Probably the worst Naan I ever had. The one positive note is that the... More

After reading alot of good reviews, we decided to go as a last night out. We couldn't find it, and looked for over an hour. (Weird, it was just where we started :p ) We were superhungry when we got there, 22:56, but the french(?) man, the owner, was superfriendly, and served us even though the kitchen was about to... We found the restaurant completely by coincidence as we wanted to shop at the night market Every dish was excellent and i love that they make all the sauces by themselves! Would recommend to definitely try this place when you visit Siem Reap!

Had the Veg Thali here, it was good although it tasted NOTHING like India. Not sure what Dal they think they're serving, last time I checked Indians don't serve dal mixed with Onions, it didn't look like the Indian Lentils. Additionally, the Aloo Palak was far off anything Indian, too thick in texture. No Raiita nor curd in the Thali,... More

I went looking for this restaurant on the strength of reviews here and found it more by luck than management. My servers' English wasn't up to the task really, understandably, but a gentleman whom I took to be the chef, owner or both and spoke good English, gave the minimum of assistance when I asked for some advice. I was... More

A trip to Cambodia was the first experience for me. Feeling happy that I can't describe with words covering my journey and both my friends at that time. Siem Reap is a new place that I visit. Without surprise, we also thought that we would have difficulty finding decent food for us to eat. The three of us were Muslims... More

Spent two weeks in Siem Reap with my partner. We went to ababa 4 or 5 times because she raved about it from a previous visit . Food is amazing, everything we ordered was fresh and delicious, the best Indian food I've eaten anywhere in the world. Service is always friendly and nothing is too much trouble for the staff....
