Description: Located only 400m from Pubstreet and the Old Market in a garden of over 2600sqm, Tangram is one of the most spacious restaurants in town. Our focus is privacy and intimacy for couples, families, groups of friends and even tour groups. All can enjoy a private experience at Tangram as our Garden features 11 pavilions, a bar and lounge area and a secluded playground for children. Designed in the traditional Khmer style, mostly natural materials are used around the property, giving people a real al fresco feeling while being seated in a private pavilion underneath a beautiful thatched roof. Our staff is young and friendly and have been recruited through training organizations that focus on the training of underprivileged youth. They have mastered the skills of hospitality well and love a conversation with their guests. Tangram is proud to be a member of the Siem Reap community and supports with 5% of its proceedings 60 orphaned and underprivileged children in their development. Lunch or dinner at Tangram is a casual experience that is complimented with personal care, a serene environment & genuine Khmer hospitality.

We had our 4th anniversary dinner here. Price of food here considered higher but worth the money. Just an advice, if you scare of mosquito bite please prepare mosquito repellent by yourself. Although mosquito repellent coil will be placed under the table but I still bitten by mosquito. We ordered special platter of the day which is like mixed grill... More

Thanks! We told the mosquitos and they promised to stay away from you upon your next visit! Our entire garden is lit with mosquito repellent light and in combination with the mosquito coil, usually people never get bitten (unless the coil finishes and we detect it too late like in your case). We will pay careful attention to that! Tangram... More

Lovely place recommended by a local expat. Friendly service staff and yummy khmer food! We were sat in individual pavilions and were given mosquito coils to fend off the bugs. Visited at night so it was pretty nice and chill, could be warm in the day given the merciless sun in Siem Reap

Together with Touich and Marum this place completed our Top 3 must go restaurants in Siem Reap, and we were really looking forward to the experience. The thing that surprised me at first is the size of the garden - it is big, really big. The individual huts are cool, spaced a long way apart for privacy, and there are... More

Dear John and Lisa, Thanks for writing such a comprehensive review of Tangram. The review however left us a bit puzzled.. (literally as Tangram is a puzzle... :) Please understand that we are a family run small business enterprise. My wife had the dream of a restaurant long time ago, which we could realize after 8 years of doubts, but... More

I cannot understand reviews of this restaurant which are not 5/5...Tangram is fantastic! - menu excellent - a much reduced menu from the rest of SE Asia (shows quality not lack of choice!) and no pictures (thank goodness). I don't believe people need a 1000 choices when they go for food. - all the food we ate was delicious. Spring... More

If you want to escape the tourist traps of the city centre, or have a romantic getaway, or experience luxury at a reasonable price, I recommend to head here. Firstly, it is best to make a reservation during the day for the evening as there is a limited number of space. As we were heading to the restaurant from our... More

Thanks Jess! Just for all other guests a note: We can call a tuktuk anytime for any place our guests need to go. Some of our staff have even walked people to town (5 minutes away) or we drive you in our car to town if waiting for a tuktuk takes longer than 10 minutes. More

We have gone a few times while in Siem Reap. The food is great and consistent. They have something for everyone, I usually eat vegetarian and my wife loves ribs (they have 2 kinds). Everything off the grill tastes amazing. We went as a group of 3 once and ordered the Signature Plate and 4 other dishes to share. Loved... More

Came to Siem Reap with a good friend of mine and his girlfriend for a brief two day stay. After the less than ideal six hour car journey from Phnom Penh, we needed food so I goggled up my good old friend; Trip Advisor and took a brief look. Dear Jack, On many occasions we follow the recommendations from our guests posted on trip advisor, the dessert (Coconut Pancakes) received for the 3rd time negative feedback relating to the waiting time so we now do not serve this anymore. We have also redone our menu and our USD 7 steak remains as it is, thanks for those comments! From... More

We attempted to eat at Haven Training Restaurant but it was closed for renovation. Our tuk tuk brought us there in the pouring rain. Thankfully one of Haven's owners or employees came out and recommended Tangram. The setting is exquisite with private thatched roofs over each table providing atmosphere and privacy. Such a beautiful and relaxed setting. We were seated at our own table under a thatched roof. Daniel the owner and the entire staff were friendly and provided excellent service. Using a light switch alert system, the staff only comes when you want something, so you enjoy your meal without interruption. Great value for the meal.
