Good food from Taj Mahal

We were looking around for a Halal Restaurant and found Taj Mahal after our trip to the Night Market. It was near the night market. Ordered fried rice with egg and garlic naan with tea. The food was really nice and up to our Malaysian standard. The fried rice was tasty and the garlic naan was... read more

And we've eaten a lot of Indian food! So fresh and outrageously tasty and delicious. The lassi and iced tea were to die for and we loved their gorgeous veg curries so much we ate there twice, even with the huge range of other great restaurants.

The only place where we were asked how hot we would like our meal to be cooked. The vegetable thali was nice. The Khmer girl speaks little English and did not seem very kind, but the manager speaks good English and is very nice, too. We loved the location; it's on the street next to the famous Pub street, but... More

A friend of mine brought me to Taj Mahal so he could show me authentic Indian cuisine since he and his family are originally from India. I let him do the ordering since he knew what everything was and what he thought I would enjoy. To start off, we ordered several different types of curry dishes. All of them were... More

The food here is excellent. Significantly better than any indian restaurant I have tried in London. We visited as a party of 3. The other 2 people I was travelling with have visited india and said that the food equalled the best food they had in India. This restaurant caters primarily for vegetarian tastes, but also has a selection of... More

The Taj Mahal was ok place but the food was not to authentic. I thought it a bit bland for my taste and not seem so fresh. The staff not so friendly. But in whole ok.

The Taj Mahal is a bit off to the side from most of the restaurants around the Pub Street area, but is is well worth a visit for authentic and Halal Indian food.

If you love Indian and Pakistani food, eat here! I was raised on Indian and Pakistani cuisine my whole life and I would highly recommend Taj Mahal. We have dined here several times and every meal was spot on. The quality is superb, spice levels are perfect and the portions are large. Excellent Value!
