Not only is the restaurant romantic, set in a large airy Khmer style house, the food is beyond amazing. There are 5 and 6 course meals for $22 and $26...in any large city, this kind of quality and creativity would cost at least $150 pp. Each course was unique with ingredients we have never had, such as lotus seeds. This... More

This restaurant offers amazing quality of food at very reasonable prices. The ingredients are all locally sourced, with really creative interpretations. We tasted both the vegetarian and meat/fish options and were highly impressed with the how they were both cooked and presented. This restaurant is definitely a culinary highlight in Siem Reap and if it was in a major city,... More

This restaurant had great service and ambiance but I was not very impressed with the food. Perhaps the chef was having an "off" night or my expectations were too high after reading the great reviews and having ate at another highly rated restaurant (Mie Café) the prior evening and thoroughly enjoying it. The food presentation was excellent but the taste... More

Joannes Riviere produces food of astounding quality. The fish was cooked to a succulent tempo, rich, light and subtle all at the same time. Only a Frenchman would put a mini burger in a delicious bouillion, topped with sauteed squid......Congratulations, really fantastic!

Flavors of Cambodia were brought out well in a 5-6 course dinner menu that was well worth the price. Ambience and service were great as well. We were impressive by the braised pork shank with star anise and fresh bamboo shoots. It's really really delicious. Menu is clear and well explained by the waiter. The wooden house with old furniture... More

Quite tucked away but definitely worth the trip. The food was absolutely delicious. It was modern food, using local ingredients. Great value for money as this would be a top restaurant anywhere. The chef is certainly talented, he came to chat and was charming, and was passionate about Khmer food. We had six courses and each was beautifully presented, offering... More

visited the restaurant with 2 of my colleagues after reading the comments from trip advisor. The food is more of a western (probably French) using local ingredients. Using local ingredients does not qualify a food to be local. Being an Asian, it is also NOT an Asian cuisine either. But on positive side, we enjoyed the ambient and food decoration.... More

I went there 2 weeks ago. I had little experience of Khmer food but after trying Cuisine Wat Damnak's food, I'm totally in love with it. There's a different menu every week, which I supposed is based on what's in season. I had the 6 course degustation which was excellent, comparable with Michelin star restaurants. They use local produce, some... More

Khmer fusion food. Amazing food, service, ambiance. This place would be packed every night if it were anywhere in the world. Make a reservation. Someone said, too salty. I say no....perfect. My dining companion had never eaten tongue before and had to have it two nights in a row. This place is a gem. If you go out to dinner... More

The restaurant offered two different 5 or 6 course meal and we tried out both menus. The table setting and presentation were great, however most of the dishes, the food were way too salty.....
