Best meal in Siem Reap

This a very airy, newish restaurant which is run by a Europian couple who have lived here for many years. Their food is excellent with an Interesting combination of Khmer and French influences. Delicious!

This is, I would suspect, the only really fine dining restaurant in Siem Reap. Others are very good but not to this all round level. That said while the food very good, I wasn't wowed. We had the menu that sounded the best, you have a choice of 2 set menus only, no à la carte. As someone else has... More

We could not improve upon our experience. The husband and wife team running this place want every aspect to be great, and they succeed. Having to choose between two tasting menus was the only hard part. Having inquired well in advance about any dietary requirements, our quirks were seamlessly accommodated. Apparently the air-conditioned indoors is preferred but we enjoyed the... More

I celebrated my birthday at Cuisine Wat Damnak. The food was superb! And the service impeccable. I noted in the email exchange of making the reservation that we were celebrating my birthday. My dessert even came with a candle!!! I'd recommend Cuisine Wat Damnak to anyone. It's also set in a beautiful, stunning space. And for fine dining, it is... More

My spouse (a New York chef) booked this restaurant weeks in advance upon the advice of a fellow chef, who had wanted to try the place herself but had been unable to get a reservation. When we told our hotel we were going to the restaurant, they also remarked that advance bookings were essential. So we went with high expectations.... More

We arranged our visit a few weeks before leaving on holiday after reading the reviews on TripAdvisor and am so pleased we did. We opted for the 6 courses rather than the 5 and it wasn't too much and would advise everyone to do the same. There are two set menus available and my husband & I decided to have... More

Now when it comes to Cambodia, my memory of Angkor Wat is intertwined with the rich aroma of herbs. When I made the restaurant reservation three weeks prior to our dinner, I didn’t know what to expect of Cambodian fine dining. After the desert, I was totally blown away. The chef took a modern twist to Cambodian cuisine. Each dish... More

I had arranged to meet some friends at Wat Damnak for dinner so had made a point of booking ahead (recommended). Carole, the owner/maitre d' - I never quite worked out which - made a point of working out any food allergies which we might have (and we did) and very patiently worked out a suitable menu for the 8... A lovely setting in an old Khmer-style wooden house is only the beginning here. This restaurant offers two tasting menus (5 or 6 courses), and the dishes were elegant, beautifully presented, and amazingly flavorful. Well worth the (relative) splurge!
