Our dinner in Cusine Wat Damnak was quite simply superb. Bright and forthright flavours were carefully balanced and seasoned. It had a truly authentic feel, prepared with sensational local ingredients and a quality of cooking that mostly ranked with the best restaurants. The most exciting and for-filling restaurant experience of my trip which took in several starred restaurants in Japan... More

First, we loved the peaceful, air-conditioned elegance. We had a question about the wine, so the French chef came and helped us himself. Charming and modest, he came to Cambodia in the early 90's on an aid programme to teach as a chef, and is still here over 20 years later. $26 for the degustation is amazing value. The wine... More

Wow what an amazing meal we had here!! Never tasted such beautifully cooked food. We live in London and have travelled all over the world, always visiting great restaurants but this little gem will forever be top of the list!! The menus were interesting and well thought out, the environment atmospheric and calm, the food wonderfully cooked with ingredients that... More

Incredible degustation menu that is amazing value for money. Imaginative, innovative take on Cambodia food with French flair.

Very good regional food. Set menu was great. We live in London, and this is one of the best meals we have had in a very long time. Highly recommended.

The food was delicious and perfectly sized. You are given a choice of two different menus with five or six courses. We opted for six and were so pleased to have the extra course! We were perfectly full at the end. I even swapped one course from the other menu without problem or fuss. The food was fresh, tasty and... More

This place is a hidden gem. Outstanding food and excellent service in addition. Wat Damnak exceeded its reputation as one of the best restaurants in Siem Reap, the ambience and service were befitting the higher price tag, but the quality of the food went beyond our expectations.

The food here is excellent....from the presentation to the ambience to the service.....it is very professional. My ONLY complaint is that the set menu (5 or 6 dish options) take a long time to come out. I've been here three times (and will definitely be back for a fourth and fifth time....) and the whole dining experience from aperitif to... More

Each one of the six courses was perfectly balanced and sized. It felt like a Cambodian Noma in the way they elevated the local Cambodian ingredients and cuisine. The chef explained that half the menu changes every week to take advantage of what is in season. You can tell that they follow this philosophy as each component of a dish... More

We read about this restaurant in the Bangkok airways magazine while flying into Seam Reap, who gave it rave reviews.....& we have to agree it was absolutely delicious, and so unexpected. Each dish presented was a new experience of taste & presentation. The staff were also exceptional with the chef visiting our table before we left with a sample of... More
