Description: We created Il Forno in 2011 after many years dreaming of opening a traditional Italian Restaurant outside Italy where we would serve authentic Italian food like our grandmothers used to cook. The only addition to our grandmother's kitchen was the building of an original stone brick fire wood oven from where to make pizzas according to the southern italian tradition. We pride to import every single ingredient ( veggie & fruits aside)on our menu directly from Italy and to make all our food home made and fresh daily. Our fantastic team of chefs/cooks start their day very early to prepare our pizza dough that need 10/12 hours before its naturally risen and to prepare home made tagliatelle, tortellini , gnocchi and so on , exactly like we used to in Italy half a century ago.

I don't typically write reviews, and there's especially no need to since there are so many wonderful reviews already, but I found them all to be true! We had 4 cheese gnocchi, spicy sausage pizza, Gorgonzola salad, and Bruschetta. All the dishes were delicious! You can definitely find cheap meals in Siem Reap but this was great quality for reasonable... More

By far the best wood fire oven pizza I've had in South East Asia. The place is a sort of a hole in the wall on one of the lanes off-pub street. Make reservation before hand as it can get really packed especially during weekends.

We live in Malaysia and we tried few Italian restaurants in Asia. I believe that at "Il Forno" in Siem Reap we got the best Pizza ever since we are in South East Asia. However it's not just the Pizza. The food is excellent and the staff very friendly and efficient. The cost is more than reasonable. Our only regret... More

I am always very cautious when I approach an Italian restaurant abroad and I rarely do that! This was an exception and it couldn't be a better choice. Food was excellent. A show and a proof on how simple yet delicious is the Italian cuisine. Simple environment, staff alerted and prompt.

Thinking of the food we ate here such as the penne arrabiata and the prosciuto pizza is just oh my gosh so good! Italy is brought right in front of us in Cambodia. I just love the experience of the food and scenery because I stayed in Italy for sometime. Food plus wine! Love love love! This is just a... More

Loved this place, ate there twice and would have liked to eaten there again but only found it 2 days before we left. We saw reviews on Trip Advisor and weren't disappointed. The service was great and food came out promptly, even when they were very busy. We had pasta both times and also bruschetta with tomatoes and pesto which... More

Liked: We had the penne with aubergine. It was by far the best pasta dish we've had in our lives. So flavourful no salt needed !! You can taste how fresh the ingredients are. Exquisite. The pizza was also brilliant stone baked and thin we had this delivered for a certain time and the pizza was fresh. Sandwiches for lunch... More

The pizza I had at this restaurant absolutely blew me away; I'd go so far as to say it was the best pizza I've ever had (admittedly I've never been to Italy, but still). The pasta dishes are also of very good quality. The owner, who is Italian, was also very friendly and welcoming. If we had had the time... More

Excellent food, wine and service, what more could you want? ...but as i have to say more i will mention the personality of the owner/manager who was out front of house all evening chatting to his guests and setting them at their ease!

We wanted to try Italian food after several days of Asian culinary adventures. Il Forno exceeded our expectations. The pizza was top quality. Service great. Staff super efficient. The location is not easy to find but very close to where the action is in. Pub St. Definitely a big thumbs up.
