We created Il Forno in 2011 after many years dreaming of opening a traditional Italian Restaurant outside Italy where we would serve authentic Italian food like our grandmothers used to cook. The only addition to our grandmother's kitchen was the building of an original stone brick fire wood oven from where to make pizzas according to the southern italian tradition. We pride to import every single ingredient ( veggie & fruits aside)on our menu directly from Italy and to make all our food home made and fresh daily. Our fantastic team of chefs/cooks start their day very early to prepare our pizza dough that need 10/12 hours before its naturally risen and to prepare home made tagliatelle, tortellini , gnocchi and so on , exactly like we used to in Italy half a century ago.

One of the best Pizza in Asia

Il forno is a real autentic Italian restaurant. The Pizza is amazing (like in Italy) and maybe the best I had in Asia so far. The ambient is also very nice, away from the crowded Pub Street, more relaxed and quiet. Ottima Pizza, consiglio a tutti di andarci, da non perdere

My husband and I stumbled across this restaraunt after a craving of pizza, and what a good choice it was!! We ordered bruschetta to start it was delicious and the pizza to follow was even better We ordered a salami one and a prucuitto, rocket and fresh Parmesan pizza. The bases were light and crispy the toppings were perfect and... More

We had 2 pizzas, 3 beers and a small water and paid 25$, maybe a bit pricey compare to Italy but it is worth it. The pizzas are like in Italy, service is good, smiley and friendly staff. The location is good, a bit hidden from the big streets.

Dear Lucie, Thanks for the nice review. We assure you that our pizzas are all made from the freshest ingredients available in a Neapolitan oven, which is why they are quite famous and taste authentic. Of course, we also make sure all our staff are well-trained and offer service with a smile as it should be. Glad you managed to... More

In the middle of the alleys there you can find this fave Italian resto with great selections of pasta and pizza in a homey ambience. A little warm and humid inside but you can always enjoy good food and good conversation with friends. Try their Gnocchi and Bolognese something enticing to the mouth and stomach.

After 4 days of continuous khmer food , we were craving a little different cuisine and thought of trying il Forno for Italian food, and boy were we lucky. Try their sea food platter , baked gnocchi in tomato (yes , you read it right, it was baked unlike the usual drizzled with/dumped in /sautéed in a sauce/pesto), pizza was... More

One of my favorite restaurants is Il Forno - authentic and delicious food in a quiet Ally. The first time I went for lunch there, I took some friends and we had a really great time. Every body is super friendly and welcoming. The manager is a true host and looks after his guests. Ill be back soon.

I found it odd I was being recommended Italian food in Siem Reap but I'm so glad I dined at il forno! The ravioli was truly delicious, I think it was homemade pasta with prawn, sea bass and prosecco. I am still craving it now. The restaurant is a bit hidden so we got lost trying to find it. When... More

Ordered pizza in this very cozy place 50 meters always from Pub street. Pizzas and ravioli's were amazing. Considering the conditions with constant electricity cuts and generators supplies, it was totally unexpected. Bravo chef for making this evening so nice. Wine by the glass was nice and overall should come back and recommend to Italian food lovers.
