Description: We created Il Forno in 2011 after many years dreaming of opening a traditional Italian Restaurant outside Italy where we would serve authentic Italian food like our grandmothers used to cook. The only addition to our grandmother's kitchen was the building of an original stone brick fire wood oven from where to make pizzas according to the southern italian tradition. We pride to import every single ingredient ( veggie & fruits aside)on our menu directly from Italy and to make all our food home made and fresh daily. Our fantastic team of chefs/cooks start their day very early to prepare our pizza dough that need 10/12 hours before its naturally risen and to prepare home made tagliatelle, tortellini , gnocchi and so on , exactly like we used to in Italy half a century ago.

Decided to give il forno a try on a recent trip to Siem Reap. Got to the restaurant a little after 8pm and had no reservations. Although there were several tables that remained empty the whole time we were there we were told the restaurant was jammed and were seated at a tiny table next to the bathroom. The owner/manager... From the staff to the food....superb! Great management and the atmosphere was pleasing, a real escape from pub street just meters away. Tucked in a boutique alley away from the drug fueled teenies getting fish foot massages. A real gastronomic experience. 6 stars if I could!

LOVE their pizza. Love their tiramisu! Love their fantastic staff- so professional and so helpful! This place also works for medium sized groups if you call ahead and make a reservation. But it also works for a romantic little date night! I highly recommend! OOH and try the cheese gnocchi! AAAAUGH! It's amazing!

We went there twice (although it was a little bit hard to find at the first time ;)). Pizza was excellent and the chocolate mousse was one oft the best I've ever had. (Portion is huge). At the second time we ate Pasta. The Lasagne was perfect, pesto noodles were a little bit boring. All in all- really good food... More

My wife and I had dinner at Il Forno while visiting the temples in Siem Reap. Phenomenal food. For sure try the Eggplant gnocchi. All the pasta is homemade. Decent wine selection. The owner, Eddie, actually came out to our table to explain the 6 or 8 specials for the evening. The service was great. Not easy to find. It... More

We found this restaurant during a walk in the alleys near pub street. The food is delicious, is a little piece of Italy in the heart of Siem Reap. There is only one problem, the place doesn't have air conditioning and the inside tables are very hot but it is not a problem if you want to eat a good... More

Excellent staff and food. We started with bruchetta then had the sea bass and prawn ravioli and spicy salami pizza. The service was prompt and polite. The pizza was spicy and perfectly cooked. Pasta was really delicious and we waddled away stuffed. We have been travelling for 5 weeks now and this was our first western food and it really... More

I had lunch here one day and dinner the next. Both meals were excellent. I didn't want really rich and heavy food – the weather was too hot for that – and Il forno had a brilliant linguini pasta with Parma ham and lime. It was light and delicious, just perfect with a glass of Italian wine. The desserts are... More

Tired of deep fried tarantula and roasted red ants? Kids need a pasta hit after a day at the temples? Then Il Forno is a great option. Tucked away in the middle of Siem Reap the food and service are both good. We went with our two kids (7 and 10) and shared some bruschetta to start (okay, nothing special),... More
