Description: We created Il Forno in 2011 after many years dreaming of opening a traditional Italian Restaurant outside Italy where we would serve authentic Italian food like our grandmothers used to cook. The only addition to our grandmother's kitchen was the building of an original stone brick fire wood oven from where to make pizzas according to the southern italian tradition. We pride to import every single ingredient ( veggie & fruits aside)on our menu directly from Italy and to make all our food home made and fresh daily. Our fantastic team of chefs/cooks start their day very early to prepare our pizza dough that need 10/12 hours before its naturally risen and to prepare home made tagliatelle, tortellini , gnocchi and so on , exactly like we used to in Italy half a century ago.

Loved this place, ate there twice and would have liked to eaten there again but only found it 2 days before we left. We saw reviews on Trip Advisor and weren't disappointed. The service was great and food came out promptly, even when they were very busy. We had pasta both times and also bruschetta with tomatoes and pesto which... More

Liked: We had the penne with aubergine. It was by far the best pasta dish we've had in our lives. So flavourful no salt needed !! You can taste how fresh the ingredients are. Exquisite. The pizza was also brilliant stone baked and thin we had this delivered for a certain time and the pizza was fresh. Sandwiches for lunch... More

The pizza I had at this restaurant absolutely blew me away; I'd go so far as to say it was the best pizza I've ever had (admittedly I've never been to Italy, but still). The pasta dishes are also of very good quality. The owner, who is Italian, was also very friendly and welcoming. If we had had the time... More

Excellent food, wine and service, what more could you want? ...but as i have to say more i will mention the personality of the owner/manager who was out front of house all evening chatting to his guests and setting them at their ease!

We wanted to try Italian food after several days of Asian culinary adventures. Il Forno exceeded our expectations. The pizza was top quality. Service great. Staff super efficient. The location is not easy to find but very close to where the action is in. Pub St. Definitely a big thumbs up.

We spent 30 minutes searching this Italian restaurant. It's WORTHY ! The oven-baked pizza and home-made spaghetti are extremely delicious! Also, Italian salad and fresh fruit shakes are nice. The staffs are friendly and sincere as well as the shopkeeper. Strongly recommend il forno.

The restaurant is in an nice alley of pubstreet. The staff is very friendly and the service is very good, even through the place was very crowded. We ordered two pizza's: a spicy salami pizza and a pizza with ham, rocket salad and parmezan cheese. Both pizza's were very tasty, though for me they were a bit too fat.

This Italian restaurant is down a narrow walkway alley off Pub St. Best way to spot the alley is to find the FOS (Factory Outlet Store) on Pub St. Directly across the road, squeezed between two restaurants you will find the alley. The restaurant is on the left hand side just a few metres along here. The food we had... More

Once we had found the place between the pub street and the lane (not easy), we were served authentic italian food (pizza, pasta and meat dishes) that were of excellent quality and specifically the children enjoyed a lot.

I went to Il forno with my daughter TWICE, we liked it so much that we went two days in a row. We had two kinds of pizza, gnocchi with eggplant and mozzarella, basil, tomato. Everything was scrumptious! My daughter and son had been there a year before and she said it was even better then last year. Service was... More
