Some great some not so much

The huge range of traditional Khmer and other fare will please a group with broad preferences. The cocktail selection made for a good start to the meal. Very popular, so reservation is recommended.

Disclaimer - I have lived in the region for almost twenty years and maybe my palate is to used to local flavors. I dined at this restaurant over the weekend with two companions. I didn't enjoy the experience. The food was bland and the service inattentive. We had four starters and a few drinks. The green mango salad needed chilli,... More

Recommended by our hotel, we stopped here for a lunch. The restaurant is centrally located on the 1st. floor of a traditional house. Nice relaxed atmosphere and good value for money. Extensive Khymer menu; food quality Ok. Some of the best dishes (e.g. the Amok) can take up to 40 minutes to prepare. The welcome and service wasn’t particularly friendly... More

Easily my favourite Khmer restaurant in town. The menu is vast and I find it really difficult to recommend favourites as there is nothing I've tried that I haven't loved. The Amok is the best I have ever had and I will never have it anywhere else now. All the salads are amazing in particular the Pomelo salad, chicken salad... More

My tuk-tuk driver misheard what I said and took me here by mistake. It was probably the most delicious mistake ever. The food here is amazing and the prices are not very high. I did not have one dish that I did not like.

This restaurant was recommended by the manager of our hotel and we were not disappointed. It's on the edge of the French Quarter, outside the bustling market area, which makes it calm and relaxing. The tables are well spaced out on a first floor veranda and are effectively cooled by myriad ceiling fans. The staff were friendly and respectful with... More

The dishes that we ordered are too savory and oily. Some of the staffs are not so friendly as we walked in

I think this is first time I quote average to a restaurant. During our stay in Siem Reap, our hotel recommended others restaurants with great success. Sugar Palm is on a 1st. floor old colonial style house. Nice atmosphere, fair prices , good quality dishes with nice presentation but service was not at the top.

We tried the one in Phnom Penh as the first meal of the trip and we loved it so much that we decided to have an "encore" as our last meal in Cambodia! The amok prawn was heavenly good! Ginger chicken is not bad and the cocktail melon mint was so refreshing! Only negative thing was that it was without... More
