Nice and quiet French restaurant

Great French dishes! Located on the other side of the river not far from the Old Market. As we went there for a late lunch, there were only a couple people drinking at the bar and we were the only ones eating. The owner gave us very kind greetings.

We were quite looking forward to trying some french food in Cambodia and as this restaurant was one of few I could find that served escargot we booked it for lunch. I opted for the two course lunch special which was a reasonable US$9.50. For entree I had the pate with home made bread and for mains I had french... More

Better overall ambience than the food specifically (a lot better choice elsewhere nowadays). Disappointing because it must have been good once and can be in future just not now. Maybe the owner chef has gotten lazy (or bloated) but then he could wake up one day and recreate the magic again. The TA ranking slide attests to this.

Patrick Colenthier has brought his experience of Paris restaurants to Siem Reap many years ago. This is the best French food at Cambodian prices!

Our hotel recommended this restaurant and it did not disappoint. After two weeks traveling across SE Asia we really enjoyed our dinner at le Barrio, a simple yet excellent French owned restaurant, nestled in a lovely setting with an enchanting al fresco terrace. The staff are lovely and their escalope cordon bleu a real treat!

We went for dinner after we walked past this restaurant a few times. Great reception from the staff. Lovely menu and daily specialities Well priced, a little more than the average restaurant in Siem Reap, but then it is also different from the other restaurants. The French-inspired menu is great, and the owner was on hand to explain the menu... More

We wanted to treat ourselves to something other than Amok curry, noodles etc. so we decided to head to Barrio. We're glad we did as we had a wonderful evening, made better by the very attentive owner. The restaurant is set in a lovely garden, set back from the main road and at points it's possible to imagine being in... More

We booked here for Christmas day. The patron welcomed us and made sure all was well. Very good service and the food was well presented and tasty. some of the food had been imported from France. Good wine list.
