we just had a very good dinner in the French BISTRO restaurant BARRIO ; the patron PATRICK COLENTHIER created a nice spot for good food at a very good price. The fixed menu available also at dinner time , is a treat for your stomach and wallet. The a la carte food is excellent and not exspensive ; house wines... More

Had been recommended to try Barrio for its excellence. Maybe we expected too much but it was definitely not as good as we had hoped. Generally the meal was pretty tasteless & disappointing.

Having heard about this place from friends who live in Siem Reap, I decided to give it a try and was not disappointed. Located on Wat Bo side of the river, this place has a very nice outdoor dining area. They serve large portions and the preparation was quite good. I had a pork dish and it turned out nice... More

We had the moules mariniere and the poulet frites. If I didn't know, we could quite easily have been in France. Really good and no surprise it is so popular with the expats. We went at lunch and the owner was very friendly. Would thoroughly recommend.

In the trendy area of Wat Bo (6 minute walk away from the mayhem of from Pub Street) is a tiny taste of France in Barrio. Clean, and with an outdoor barbecue and friendly staff (who mostly get what you need), I can recommend Barrio - it's also one of the best places in Siem Reap to get lamb brochettes.... More

We had two most enjoyable evenings at Barrio - a long-established French restaurant staffed mainly by Cambodians, but powerfully managed by an ebullient and ever-present Frenchman. The food was excellent, as was the "ambience" and the service. It is worth noting that some of the town guides and maps still place Barrio in its previous location rather than the new... More
