Brilliant Vegetarian food

We were left very undisturbed during our meal but we were never at a point where we were needing something. Highly recommend

Chamkar is down one of the smaller quirky streets near The Old Market, round the corner from Pub street. The food is absolutely incredible, so many flavours and spices fusing together to create a party in your mouth. The menu was quite small but the dishes are perfect and i think it's easier to select when the menu isn't pages... More

We really enjoyed this, came here for lunch on our last day and was pleasantly surprised. We were also happy to see that they clearly stated on their menu that they didn't use MSG or any fish sauce etc. and prepared their dishes with fresh ingredients. The food tasted yummy, we had fresh rolls with a nice peanut sauce along... More

We came here early, and were the only customers throughout the 2hrs we were there. We ordered the wedding dip, which my girlfriend loved but i thought was just ok, as well as two different flavoured curries. Both curries were a bit dull to be honest. It's a bit outside the main town but still close enough, and took us... More

The food is beautiful! Ethical and fresh. It takes quite a long time for the food to arrive but it's worth the wait. All but two dishes are gluten free. The street has a good vibe and it's right next to pub street, although quieter.

Great food, lovely atmosphere, try booking in advance to get table on the balcony. Staff were very friendly and polite. Fresh spring rolls and wedding dip were so delicious. Tried their sister restaurant Chamkar House which was just as good, set up in tranquil garden. Definitely recommend, lots of choice for vegans as well.

Certainly not the best restaurant in Siem Reap as other reviews have said but if you fancy Khmer vegetarian food Chamkar does that quite well. The restaurant is quite small on two floors and is right in the heart of the city Service isn't perfect but the staff are charming. It is also rather cheap, so not a bad choice... More

I can only assume this place gets such amazing reviews because it is the only vegetarian place within the touristy area. I was super excited to try it and completely underwhelmed, in fact I did not even finish my food which is a rarity for me. Curry lacked flavor and was just bad, which I didn't know was really possible.... More
