Had dinner here, and while the food took a while to get to us, it was worth the wait. I ordered pork (loin? can't remember) with apple sauce. The pork was perfectly cooked. Wonderfully seasoned and not dry (see how pink from my photo). My partner ordered the coq au vin, which can sometimes taste sour and wine-y, but the... More

I stopped by Le Grand Cafe several times during my stay in Siem Reap. In the off season it's later to open and earlier to close - typical laid back French style. The atmosphere is colonial Indochina chic and the cuisine is varied from local specialties to western favorites. The crowd here tends to be more chilled out and slightly... More

Take your time to chill out in this beautiful old French colonial villa. Have a drink or a nice home style Khmer meal, and necessarily take a sit facing Old Market. From Le Grand Café you will have a great view of Old Market. It’s a perfect spot to watch Khmer people everyday life. So soothing and relaxing.

We loved Le Grand Café - straight out of 1950's French Indo China we thought. Go upstairs and sit by one of the open windows and soak up the street scene below and the surroundings from a bygone era. We went for cocktails (didn't eat there so can't comment on quality of food), which were superb. So good that we... More

Went here for breakfast a couple of weeks ago as the price lured us in, not quite grasping just how cheap everywhere else was too. Ordered the smoked salmon with English breakfast muffin and poached egg. The smoked salmon was a minuscule portion and clearly old, the poached eggs were over cooked and the English breakfast muffin was just toast.... More

Lovely restaurant with a mix of western and local food. We tried the daily special of Paris Brest with spinach and cheese sauce and a fish amok. Both were excellent and substantial. Price was extreamly reasonable as well. The staff were friendly and efficient. A nice place to watch the world go by...!!

Have been eating here several times and liked the atmosphere and the very friendly staff. Thank you for your hospitality Mr. Doun and Mr. Kim Leang! Free Wifi, nice to sit outside or at a windows table upstairs and watching the people walking by enjoying great food and a cool Anchor beer.

Over the years I have sat here many times, reading the newspaper with an iced coffee and watching Siem Reap expand at an astonishing rate. Today was the first time I had eaten at the restaurant and for me it was a sorry experience. My friend ordered chicken fried rice which was fine, I had the salad nicoise which was... More

What is from the outside most likely the most authentic and architecturally interesting "original" French-colonial corner restaurant in this town is a place which needs to be avoided. They don't know what they are doing and have no clue in regards to basic gastronomy. Sad. It is also an expensive place! (Bloody Mary: $4.00, normally in the tourist area: $2-00-2.50)... More

After walking around the Old Market all morning, we parked our tired bodies on chairs placed street side at the Grand Cafe. Nothing grand, as the name would suggest , but the area did have a bit of a French ambiance. The Angkor beer was accompanied by Nem, a Vietnamese/ Cambodian variation of spring rolls and Khmer noodles.reasonably good meal,... More
