As much as we would love to remember every facet of our holidays and adventures, we can't. Time passes and memories fade- we make new ones. But there are certain points that we will never forget: My time in Siem Reap and The Dead Fish Cafe being one of them as an example for me! (And its not because I... More

Sad to read the recent comments, Visited in 2007 during a cycle tour of angkor with my husband and small children. Absolutely surreal fun. The place was packed and seating was quirky, suspended platforms accessed by improvised planks, ladders. We sat by a low table on cushions , looking down on a central stage where traditional dancers /entertainers performed. Could... More

I visited here in 2008 and 2009 when the food was fantastic, there was a group of 10 of us the first time we went and everyone had fantastic comments about the food. Apsara dancers were performing on one of the levels making the place feel really authentic. Ilove how there were wooden stairs everywhere and little cubby holes. The second... More

Sorry to see from the last couple of reviews that this place had closed. My husband and I went there in April 2010 and found it to be one of the most interesting places we had ever eaten on our travels. (Our tuk tuk driver actually tried to convince us to eat elsewhere) There were rickety wooden steps everywhere leading... More

It was a destination spot because so many friends told us to go....yep, we looked around and finally found it closed. Not sure if renovation or not. I tried to find the photo we took but I've got hundreds to go through yet....

Read the reviews here and also heard about this from a friend. Walked around Sivatha street for 20 min only to realized that the cafe is now closed. The sign is still there and I'm not sure if the business has moved somewhere else. Sigh.

Very interesting layout with ladders everywhere leading up to different levels, and is possibly worth a visit just to see this. The food is truly awful, and the whole place does seem fairly dirty. The crocodiles appear to be kept in appalling conditions too.

My Husband and I visited the Dead Fish Cafe in Oct 2005 and we loved the place. Hoping to get back there sometime... the atmosphere was what won us over. It was sort of like a treehouse in the jungle - very cool! The food was good too! :) Hoping it's maintained it's charm because it was perfect just the... More
