Rascal's has been a mainstay in Apple Valley for more years than I'm will to admit to knowing about. The interior of the building has been upgraded from that of a neighborhood bar and restaurant to that of a well laid out beautifully designed gathering destination. The bar area did not lose it draw due to the upgrade a few... More

Rascal's is a great place to grab a bite to eat with family or friends or gather up to the bar and listen to live music.

We've been going to Rascals for years and have never had a bad meal. Their wild rice soup is one of the best, We love their taco salad and their chicken pasta dinners. The atmosphere is very homey.

Our office has our Christmas get together in February. Christmas is so busy and no one can find the time to really celebrate together. Rascal's is a hidden gem for us. Where else can 20 of us go and get GREAT service and GREAT food? Our server was Angelique. She orchastrated the best service we have all had at any... More

I haven't been to Rascals for a long time, just didn't think of it when considering where to go. Therefore when my dining companion suggested it I was pleased and looking forward to enjoying the type of meal that I had experienced many times before. All that means is that I did not have any pre-conceived negative opinion of this... More

Rascal's is a great and reliable place for home-cooked quality food. the recently remodeled interior is quiet and relaxing. the menu is varied, with a number of favorites included. we have always had good food at rascal's regardless whether it was for lunch, dinner or Sunday breakfast. the service can be uneven, but the food and comfort of the place... You can't beat Rascals for a friendly neighborhood restaurant. Their breakfast menu is very ample and delicious with special features each Sunday. Dinner meals are always good, too. Add to that Wanda (the owner) and her excellent staff, and you can't go wrong. We feel as though she and her longstanding staff are like family.

We stopped in for dinner (pre-Christmas) while visiting family in the Twin Cities. A couple of the people in our party of 5 had suggested this establishment, Just about everyone complained that their food wasn't very good. The baked potato's served cold and were under cooked and had a very strange taste. We sent it back but the result was... More

PROS: Atmosphere was casual and quiet. Food was better than same offerings at other restaurants. Homemade look/taste. CONS: Kids got sour chocolate milk - yuck! Waiter didn't seem to think it was a big deal. Service was terrible. Didn't take our order for a very long time- food was slow- didn't "check in" on our table much at all. Waiter... More

I have to admit, the atmosphere at Rascals is a little weird. It doesnt know if it should be a pub or more like Perkins. But we had a nice meal there. I had a burger with a nice sauce on it and the fries were good. We were there during the week and it was pretty quiet. We were... More
