Great place for lunch

We had lunch at the Traveler's Inn 5 days in a row. It is a nice diner with good food at great prices. It is always busy, which is usually a positive sign. The staff were friendly and helpful (especially Brenda). Highly recommended.

This is one of the best kept secrets of Alexandria! Homemade food at reasonable prices. NOT fancy or french, just real good food. We had lunch recently. One ordered breakfast (always available), one had soup and sandwich, one had the walleye fingers and one the cheeseburger. Everything came hot, fresh cooked, and delicious. Fries were crisp, soup was a bowl... More

5 of us stopped there prior to going to our school's 125th yr. open house. Food was good, good choices. I think the service could of been better.

Had a group of 9 on Sunday morning for breakfast. Down home cooking! Sounded great! Arrived and was seated right away. Our server was friendly. She mistook my order and brought me something else, when I reported the mistake, she took the meal away, and did not correct it. Another person in the party ordered corn beef hash and was... More

Quaint is nice, and this very original café is very quaint. But the food is getting a little too old. Really, white store-bought bread for sandwiches?? Maybe the big city folk like that, but us locals want some updates to the menu.

My Husband & I stopped in for a quick lunch while shopping in the area. The decor is old fashioned but intriguing. The service is great, friendly staff, reasonable prices, good old fashioned decor & good food! I recommend this place for a bite to eat in Alexandria, MN area.

We came here for a Sunday breakfast and it was delicious for a fair price. The service was quick and all the staff was quick to help when it was necessary. If you're in town, I'd highly recommend stopping in for a meal or a treat.

We were in Alexandria for lunch while biking the Central Lakes Bike Trail. I had the Traveler's Inn saved in my TripAdvisor account as a highly recommended lunch stop. TA proves its worth again. This family-run diner was excellent from the staff to the food. I had the walleye sandwich and I must say it was probably the best I... More
