I ordered breakfast, hot cake combo, which included eggs, bacon and sausage. The scrambled eggs were mushy and tasted like powdered eggs on the buffet. I asked for crispy bacon, one of the two pieces was half cooked and mostly fat. I would have sent it back, but service was not efficient. On positive note, the hot cakes were hot... More

We were staying next door at the Comfort Inn, so this place worked well for us. Viking decor. Our waitress was great, and we were satisfied with our food. Menu sort of like a Denny's -- bit of everything / and they also have a salad bar.

We had driven over 400 miles and stopped at the Comfort Inn in albert Lea, MN. There was a restaurant next store that we could walk to. It looked like a nice place to eat. You could order the buffet or off the menu. We ordered off the menu and could make a trip to the soup and salad bar.... More

This was right across the street from our hotel and they had a nice variety of food including several kinds of fish on the buffet. We really enjoyed the uniqueness of the plates they used. We also enjoyed the attached gas station/ convenient store. They had about anything a person would want from shirts to meat. If someone needed a... More

Walked in after a two hour drive & excited after having read some of the comments here only to be disappointed by; A staff member that couldn't care less about our question of what the process was? Old, dried-up buffet items and Aluminum plates, skillets, pans,...??? Doesn't anyone care about Alzheimer's around here? Perhaps they have a lot to forget!... More

We were basically "passing through" and this was next to our hotel. So it was VERY convenient and it was nice that it was attached to a gas station super store where they had everything from a soda to local area gifts. Service was fast and efficient and more importantly friendly. Buffet had a very nice variety. The separate bar... More

We have been regular customers at Trail's Travel Center restaurant for over 10 years. The food is very good but as part of the Iron Skillet the menu has changed and is more limited and maybe not quite as heart healthy. The service is excellent. One ongoing problem in this and many restaurants is people talking loudly on their cell... More

Stopped for lunch on the way back home from Northern Minnesota. I love the fresh wood burning as you walk into the viking themed restaurant. Service was incredibly nice and very attentive. I ordered the biscuits and gravy with scramble around noon and the gravy was incredibly fresh. While not the healthiest of all meals it was delightfully fresh and... More
