Try to get a spot on the street....

because the back patio is LOUD. I think it's because it's under one large tent. The inside tables looked like they'd be cramped, especially for a group of 4. The gold margaritas with chips and guac, habanero flat iron steak "roll-up" (burrito)... a world class meal. I've eaten here for lunch on the patio in back and a few times for dinner and I've always left satisfied and impressed. Great date spot, fun for a small group of friends, and possibly good for a family. It's a small restaurant,... More

I've been going to Prickly Pear for several years now and always enjoy it. It's a tiny little place and a little tightly packed in the colder seasons when there's no outdoor seating; it really shines when the sun comes out and they open up their sidewalk seating and their covered "backyard" patio. With a couple friends, a pitcher of... More

Great food, check out the specials. Good service, small outdoor seating area is great for summer.

I've been there once and plan on going back this weekend. The food is great. Margaritas are great. The Mushroom Bisque is delicious! The only downfall is the limited space. It is very cramped. A booth would be best...if you're lucky to get one!

The Prickly Pear restaurant is located in the heart of wonderfully cute downtown Ann Arbor. The casual entrance sits inconspiculously amidst the swanky entrances to much more upscale restaurants such as the Chop House. The small restaurant is crowded with high-seat-backed booths and standard tables, no bar nor much room to wait (although we were seated right away on a... More

Prickly Pear has atypically innovative & fresh Mexican cuisine. Golden margaritas are fantastic. Go before 7 on weekends or wait in line. Lovely patio in pleasant weather.

I grew up eating New Mexico style Mexican food - burritos and enchiladas smothered with green chile. Consequently, I'm a little biased and rarely find Mexican food that I love because it pales in comparison to what I grew up with. But, Prickly Pear is a great place to grab a margarita, eat chips and salsa and eat what I... More

We eat here very often. The food is always good. The calamari is the best I have ever had, and we love the shrimp fajitas. The atmosphere is great, size of the restaurant is really small but that lends to its charm. Expect a long wait on the weekends.
