A very good Mexican restaurant with a pleasant atmosphere

They serve excellent Mexican food. There is a pleasant atmosphere. There is an outdoor patio for dining in the back, which is lovely in good weather.

The food here is amazing! It is the best southwest cuisine I have ever had. The service was good even though the restaurant was extremely busy. I definitely recommend it. I had the portobello quesidilla and my husband had the beef brisket enchilada.

We stopped in here for dinner during the art fair. We sat inside due to no tables being available outside. The atmosphere was nice and laid back and the staff was friendly. All of our meals were mediocre but we were more disappointed in the speed of the service. Our waitress was working both inside and outside tables, and waiting... More

For a great meal and the service skip the over priced restaurants in downtown AA and dine here. I do not usually care for "Tex-Mex", but this is true southwestern food.

Just a quick stop for a drink with family. Spacious outdoor seating on the sidewalk patio. Does not feel cramped. July night was chilly so they even had an outdoor heater for us! Thank you :)

Ate lunch during Restaurant Week (week of June 21). A sit down meal for 2 for $15 for fresh food only. Flavorful, nicely seasoned, lots of veggies, in particular, crisp garden fresh salads to complement the vegetarian relleno and the salmon shrimp quesadilla. Dined a la fresco on a glorious afternoon. Good service and delicious not too sweet berry sangria.

There are many restaurants in this area but Prickly Pear caught our eye and we weren't disappointed. We had the chicken relleno and the black bean relleno. They were both delicious and served with beans and rice. We ordered the half portion which was plenty and chips and fresh salsa were complimentary. The margaritas were good and refreshing too. We... This place had always been among the most original and creative restaurants downtown. I am not sure but I think they've been around since the early '90s now. Went tonight with the family after a three year absence, and was very underwhelmed. Chicken empenadas: rather tasteless and stale. Seriously, they tasted as if they could have come from Gordon Food... More

The restaurant is small but booths are spacious. We were promptly seated on a busy Saturday evening. Chips and salsa arrived quickly and were delicious. Guacamole was fresh but a bit bland for my taste. The chicken poblano relllenos were fantastic. My gold margarita was good but not great.
