I barely go to bars. This one seems good and they have all kinds of beer if not hundred. I am not a beer fan. But if you are, you should definitely go and try.
I don't venture to Ann Arbor often, but when I do I try to find a local place. This was the prefect place! We went on a Saturday night. The upstairs was quite crowded so we ventured downstairs. I loved the setting. We were able to grab two seats at the bar. The bartender was awesome! I wish I would... More
Every time I go here with different people and they are all glad I brought them. Any style of beer from all over the world. The tasters are great to try and make a dent in the 70 beers on tap.
Friendly staff, cool wooden seating and booths. Had a large group which was really tough for them to accommodate size-wise (tables are not really combinable), but otherwise a good time for all. Huge beer menu with helpful descriptions.
The good, they have a great beer selection. Their advertisement at the window states 70 beers on tap. The bad, the food sucks. We started with "French onion soup" what we got was onion strips boiled in water and seasoned with black pepper. There was no cheese!! We also split a pizza which was nothing special. Come thirsty but not... More
On our trip across the country this summer, we stopped in Ann Arbor. Ashley's was on my husband's list of "100 best beer places", so we had to go to see it. It is a small and cozy place right near the U of Michigan campus. The beer selection was great. very extensive and the staff is friendly. We had... More
What a great place! Awesome beer selection, great crowd and really friendly / helpful staff. I was in town visiting a friend and we stopped in for a private party downstairs. As it is one of his favorite places, we also spent some time upstairs at the bar. Totally impressed.
While in town waiting for a wedding were stopped by on the recommendation of a U of M Alumni. He said it was pretty much the same and it was so cute inside. Small narrow and long, it is a tight fit, which made it cozy. Lots of bricks, lights, and an unbelievable variety of beer on tap.
This cute little neighborhood pub is located in the mists of all the hustle and bustle in Ann Arbor. We happened to get lucky and were there during happy hour, so we ordered some of the apps that were featured. They were all very tasty and satisfied our appetites. Most of the patrons are students.
I've enjoyed Ashley's since I first visited back in 1998 despite any issues I have w/ the place. The positives? Ashley's has an extensive beer list complimented by some tasty french fries and the typical pub fare. The jukebox is constantly used by the clientele and the atmosphere is perfect to hang out, catch up with friends and enjoy your... More
