Great food but you will pay...

I really enjoy taking friends to Zingerman's roadhouse. It is one of those places that are so popular (great food) that they are always very busy there during mealtime. I also think they are a bit pricey.

First of all, let me stress that I love the idea of Zingerman's Roadhouse. It is a true A2 institution, and probably a heresy for me to say anything bad about the place. And to be honest there are a lot of positives to flag up - the venue itself and the wait staff are awesome: polite, knowlegable and geared... More

We had dinner at Zingerman's Roadhouse and were disappointed with our meal. Three of us ordered Gazpacho, expecting a cold soup in a light broth. Instead, we got a thick porridge that looked like it had been thickened with bread crumbs. It was not what I was expecting. While the flavor was not bad, the texture was off putting. The... More

Have always loved coming here to eat withy family. Service is wonderful and normally food is outstanding. Unfortunately this time was different. My husband and I ordered spare ribs which I had previously, and they were amazing. NOT TODAY! The spare ribs were very tough and hard to eat. The mash potatoes were good just wished they offered to refill... More

Let me start by saying this isn't exclusively a Southern themed menu or restaurant (and has an equally pleasing mix of Vegan and non-Vegan options), but many of the edible themes you'll find come showcasing flavors with soul from the South. Furthermore, I'm a southern transplant to Michigan (for many years now) and can assure you, I've not found another... More

Had a business lunch there, both of us ordered the walleye, broiled. I was very disappointed. The portion size was very small for a walleye, and the filet was overcooked, dry and tasteless. Our dishes must have been sitting for a while, waiting to be served, because they were not hot when we got them. Very disappointed. Zingerman's is a... More

There were three of us for dinner--my husband, my sister, and me. My sister and I ordered sangria which was cold and refreshing. Then we ordered fried calamari as an appetizer. It was a small portion, barely enough for two people, let alone three. The breading was crisp and the calamari was not fishy. My husband ordered the pit smoked... More

Zingerman's Roadhouse is exactly the place you want to go if you want to have great food with friends and family. We have been coming here for years. You know that the food is real, good food so I don't worry about what I am feeding my family on our special times that we visit here. Chef Alex keeps the... More

The Roadhouse has it all and prepared to perfection...no matter what you order. From Mac n cheese(yum) to soup to special of the day, it is delish. Priced nice and won't have to take out a second mortgage, it's about perfect.
