If I could choose my dream restaurant .. Zingermans would fit the bill. Fresh innovative menu but also full of well loved traditions. It has a great sampling of comfort food but exquisitely prepared ( better than Mom's). I want to go back to Ann Arbor just to visit this establishment .. Even in the Winter!

Had the cheeseburger. It was dry as death valley. The fries were soggy. The waiter charged me for gratuities twice equaling 30% of my food bill (total $25 for a burger fries coke n tips), but only gave me one refill on my coke and it was empty almost the whole meal!

Have eaten here several times with family, co-workers as well as friends. I like the food, menu is different and fresh but portion sizes are sometimes way tiny for what you are paying e.g. - mac and cheese. (My husband hates going there because of this, he feels its a rip-off) Their veggie burger is excellent, some of the desserts... More

Food was good. Very over priced. My son didn't like the Mac n cheese. Daughter loved the pancakes. BBQ sauces were just average according to my husband. My soup was good. For the amount we paid we want to leave full.

This place is awesome. You always have a dining experience when you go to Zingerman's Roadhouse. There food is top notch. Fresh and local and like none other. The folks there are fantastic. Service is great and they are so willing to explain and help. It is busy, so plan accordingly. And - don't forget dessert. It is a must... More

We have eaten here at least a dozen times and the food has always been top notch. Not last night. I tried the Farro Piccolo Risotto and my daughter had the Mac and Three . Mine was definitely chewy and had sweet potato which was not listed on the menu. Hers was only a small amount of mac n cheese... More

My husband and I ate at the Roadhouse on New Years Eve, and I asked if they would sautée the squid (calamari) rather than cook it in a batter (I am on a low-carb diet but this would also be good for people avoiding gluten). They did it, and it was very good, with an interesting tartar sauce. I splurged... More

This is a solid restaurant and you really can't go wrong here for a lunch or dinner out, regardless of the occasion. I've met here for business lunches, dinner with the family and date nights. The food is a bit pricey but it's real food and comes from local sources most of the time. It's offbeat enough to make it... More

My wife and I stopped in for a late afternoon lunch which it was nice because this very popular place wasn't crowded. I had the Pit-Smoked BBQ Beef sandwich and my wife had Dexter Reuben which is free range turkey rubbed with Spicy Coffee Rub, pit smoked. Both were excellence. The waitress was wonderful.

I only eat meat a few times a year but when I do I make sure I go to Zingermans Roadhouse. All of their meat is grass-fed most of it local too. The service is impeccable every time. You could tell the staff are having fun and enjoy their jobs. I do not have any allergies personally but I overheard... More
