Terrific food, service and atmosphere

Found this place by accident and sure glad we did! Wide selection of dishes from across the country, most with a unique twist. Who knew there were so many variations for mac & cheese? Had the Ig Vella's version and it was great! Can't wait to go back to try other menu items.

Zingerman's is the giant--rightly so--of local Ann Arbor food families and their service to the community is above reproach. Everyone should patronize them and be assured of quality food and service. BUT it pays to know what you're looking for. We had a preplanned party of 11 adults and 3 babies in seats. We were in a loud, crowded, high... More

Our innkeeper recommended this restaurant. The first impression is the overwhelming smell of BBQ when you enter. Then you open a menu and fall off your chair over the prices. Local fish is $30. So I had the chicken fried steak for $19. It was sizeable and I could share with the others. Good thing because neither of them liked... More

The Roadhouse has terrific food. It is fairly expensive but there is a good reason for that. The high quality of food and service. You get what you pay for.

There are some very unique choices on the menu but the barbeques cooking outside the restaurant put me in the mood for grilled meat. The pulled pork was excellent. The pork nachos were heavy on the nacho chips and light on the meat. The service was excellent, the restaurant was crowded and reservations are suggested for brunch. The food is... More

This was our first visit to the Zingerman's Roadhouse and I'm sure it won't be our last! I was excited to try it as I've heard such great things and just reading their menu made my mouth water! My husband ordered the eggs Benedict and I had the eggs (poached) and grits. The first thing that impressed me was that... More

I enjoy dining at the bar when traveling solo. Very limited space. Thought food was very average. Food and drinks are overpriced and staff could be friendlier.

We sauntered in for a late dinner and realized we don't come here nearly enough. They are so passionate about their food here, where it's sourced; our waiter was knowledgable and just excellent. Drinks dating back to 1800s recipes. Bread dating back to 1600s recipes. With our bread we had a delightful small plate of heirloom tomatoes from a local... More

We stumbled upon Zingerman's while visiting Ann Arbor. We had an excellent breakfast and strong but great-tasting coffee. The thing that got our attention was the customer service. We started chatting with the staff and told them we were from Canada. As we were leaving, the manager asked if we were there on vacation ans we explained we were there... More
