Great dinner, lots of food

Nice place in Ann Arbor. A little bit on the noisy side for conversation. Had crab cake appetizer which was really good. My entree was the buttermilk fried chicken which was also quite good, it was recommended to me and I enjoyed it even though I rarely order fried chicken. Also tried one of... read more

The environment was very pleasant and we had a very fine and knowledgeable waitress. On top of that, the food was very tasty - but it wasn't particularly exemplary and quite overpriced for what was on the plate (especially the rather lame side accompaniments). There are much better and interesting restaurant meals to be found in Ann Arbor and with... More

We sat at the little bar at the kitchen so we could see everything. We had the Mac and cheese w/ fried chicken in it. The bread was fresh and amazing. They are known for their barbecue with a smoker out back. They have their own farm for tomatoes and who knows what else, and make their mozzarella fresh everyday.... More

The service is exceptional and the lunch we enjoyed was delicious! Fresh heirloom tomatoes made the caprese salad amazing and the BBQ - you must try the Red Rage sauce... Warm but not over the top. Ask for Renato if you can - he is so knowledgable and friendly!

We've been here several times and never disappointed. A little on the noisy side, but OK. Prices were good. Staff was attentive. A little off the beaten path from downtown, but worth the short trip.

We had a great meal. It was a little on the pricey side, but everything was good. The mac & cheese was very good and so was the bbq sandwich. I would recommend this place and I will go back if I'm in the area.

This was our first time at Zingerman's Roadhouse. We went at the recommendation of a local businessman. While the menu is heavy on BBQ, it does provide an ample selection of other items. Zingerman's relies heavily on local providers for its food and the quality pays off in well prepared meals. The homemade soups and chili are excellent. The sandwiches... More

If you are in for a jumbo dining experience then this is the place. The good news is that the large portions are accompanied by good quality food products. I recently tried the buttermilk fried chicken, the slider 5-cheeseburger sampler, both excellent. The twice cooked fries were crisp and pretty great. There was a special salad available called a "Shoot"... More

When in Ann Arbor we cannot resist this masterpiece in All-American fare. We've eaten coast-to-coast and while we cannot call the belly-filling phenom "quintessential" anything because there is nothing quite like it, all in one it is a BBQ, Deli, Italian and Steak emporium. Most of the food comes from its Creamery, Bakery, Deli and farm. What they cannot bake,... More
