Excellent Food, but Pricey

Zingerman's Roadhouse provides local food simply but deliciously prepared. On a recent visit, my daughter had a hamburger, and the beef was tasty and spiced well. My wife had the pulled pork sandwich, and the barbecue sauce was especially tasty. I had a shrimp po'boy, which featured breaded shrimp... read more

This is our go-to restaurant in Ann Arbor--the place we are most likely to bring out-of-town friends to, to meet friends at, to bring our whole family to--so I decided finally to write a review. Why is this our favorite restaurant in Ann Arbor? Most importantly, they do what they do better than anybody. The food is gloriously fresh, local,... More

This place is great! Service is exceptional, food is good, and atmosphere is nice. A little pricy, but I'm willing to pay because they really support local farmers. Highly recommend.

Easy parking and friendly service make this a nice alternative to the many excellent downtown restaurants in Ann Arbor, but reservations are necessary most nights since it's a popular place with the Old West Side residents. The beers are excellent, the bread is fresh, and the food is unabashedly unpretentious. Go with a healthy appetite or plan to bring home... More

The food is incredible. The service is exemplary and the entire meal is an experience that will not be forgotten. It will take more than one visit to try everything desired on the menu.

Awesome restaurant and has arguably the best fried chicken in town! I definitely recommend taking a trip here to eat especially if you had visitors in the Ann Arbor area.

Zingerman's Roadhouse is at least a decade-old spin-off from the original Zingerman's Deli, an Ann Arbor favorite of my wife's and mine where we have been many times over the years. This was our first visit to the Roadhouse and the comparison to the Deli was interesting. Things they have in common are higher-than-average prices, unique atmospheres and decor, and... More

The quality ingredients and passion for great food is apparent in every bite. We had the Mac and cheese, fried chicken, fries, barbecue and donut sundae (just two of us). It was all outstanding. Can't wait to go back.
