Do these people like the restaurant business?

It just doesn't seem like their hearts are into it: the staff seemed like they were recovering from the night before and going through the motions. The Specials menu looked like most other restaurants so we went for some traditional dishes. The garden salad was obviously sitting in the refrigerator... read more

May 2015 Unfortunately the restaurant closed just after mother's day. An article appeared on MLive indicating it had been sold but no details regarding a reopening were given.

I stopped by for happy hour recently with some friends. The appetizers were good, not great, and the waitresses were very friendly but overworked. There was inadequate staff for the crowd at that time of day resulting in delays in service.

We stopped in for lunch on our way to the hotel, wanting to eat light and not really caring where we ate. We were surprised to find my lunch was free since it was my birthday and the menu was filled with interesting choices. We only ordered soup and a couple appetizers, but we left stuffed. The beer cheese soup... More

We ate at the Creekside tonight and found the food was good. I agree with the individual who wrote a review on this site saying the staff (or at least our server) didn't have her heart into the job. Anyway, the food was good and we paid the server for the meal and her tip. Moments later she came back... More

It just doesn't seem like their hearts are into it: the staff seemed like they were recovering from the night before and going through the motions. The Specials menu looked like most other restaurants so we went for some traditional dishes. The garden salad was obviously sitting in the refrigerator for several hours before reaching my table. Menu limited to lack-luster items that are mostly overpriced. They use what seem to be medical students for waiters that really do not care about doing it right. I tried what was supposed to be Gen Tso's Chicken and it was terrible. Had also a pulled pork dinner that was right out of a can. Beer selection was mostly American... More

We visited the Creekside several times during the last two years and have been underwhelmed. Today I had the perch dinner and cajun clam chowder. The chowder should be avoided by anyone with high blood pressure ,it was like eating a bowl of salt. The perch was greasy and definitely not fresh fish.It tasted like pre packed fish thrown in a... More

We live in town and this is one of our favorite places for an unpretentious dinner of great food from an extensive menu that has never hit a sour note yet! We take my world-traveled in-laws there and they love it too. Here's the thing--the menu is huge, they have specials, etc. and all of it has been delicious. Pulled... More

Recently had dinner at Creekside. The only really good thing we had there was the garlic bread they served. The salad was basic iceberg lettuce, a few grape tomatoes, croutons and a little red cabbage. The vinegar for the salad had some sort of sediment floating in the bottom of the bottle. The oil and vinegar bottles were kind of... More

This was my 3rd or 4th visit but I'd never tried their BBQ. Somehow missed it. Never again! My husband had the combo: 30-hour smoked brisket and chipotle-sauced pulled pork. I wanted his plate! (He did let me taste.) We were really hungry so we started off with the Steamed Mussels. Lovely and very good. Only complaint was that it... More
