This restaurant used to be one of the best in town as it used the finest ingredients in preparing it's food, but it has slipped lately. The hostess may bite your head off or just be cool, but if your hungry you can get a decent breakfast here.

Broken Egg is a nice little diner. The wait staff was great. Food was plentiful. 2 out of the 3 meals were also terrific. The 3rd -the vegetarian breakfast stew was a bit bland and mushy. Wished the hash browns in at had some crunch.

We enjoyed our visit to the Broken Egg. Fun little diner. Great atmosphere, and we even enjoyed reading the fun menus. Wait staff was attentive and nice, and the food was great. You will not go hungry.

We go every time. Guaranteed you will not leave hungry. Be aware that this is a very popular place, so if you come on weekends during rush times (noon'ish), might have to wait a few mins.

Complete, solid breakfast menu. Omelets are good; potatoes are real. Hot refilled coffee & standard A2 pricing. Located downtown on Main St, it has a great neighborhood style and staff is friendly. Within 3 blocks of the Farmer's Market, Co-op, Kerrytown and lots of cool local shopping -it's a happening area, particularly on Saturday mornings. Check it out!

We ate here two mornings while house hunting in the area. The menu is varied and interesting. Service was prompt and attentive. Large portions of food. And if you need an espresso, they don't mind if you bring one from next door.

Despite the name being the Broken Egg, I was very enticed by all the different kinds of French Toast they had to offer including specials written on several boards throughout the restaurant. They also had listings of full hash brown meals that you could load with your own toppings much like a cold stone for your potatoes. When I made... More
