Best sandwiches and friendliest staff-- large selection of hearty breakfast dishes. Cozy surroundings.
Went there today for the first time because I was picking up my son and his friend on north campus. The food was really good. The staff was friendly and helpful.
Any place that serves breakfast all day gets points in my book, because my husband is not a breakfast guy, but the food here stands on its own. So much delicious food! I had poached eggs and potatoes. Boring, you say? No, it is a true test of skill to cook a poached egg perfectly, and mine were just that.... More
Tried this iconic breakfast spot based upon reviews in an Ann Arbor magazine-it was even better than advertised. Dined on Summer weekday about 9:30 AM-the placed was in full motion. The staff was great-never allowing either coffee or water to get to half full level. Tablemates all had something different: corned beef hash, Pontiac Trail, Blueberry pancakes & Big Easy.... More

I like to walk to get my legs stretched out after swimming. This is... More
Tried this restaurant for breakfast based on reviews from Roadfood.com. Connie (our waitress) was incredibly welcoming and friendly. Blueberry and Apple Bran pancakes were amazing. Egg sandwich was delicious as well. Definitely will be back again. New favorite breakfast spot in Ann Arbor.

The food was flavorful and quick to land on the table which was a plus. The traditional diner atmosphere suited the area but is in need of a bit of... More
We have dined here several times over the years, and if you want soup right out of the can, and the company of A2's old hippies, this is your place.
Late (9:30) breakfast on a weekday with 8 family members was wonderful. Fine french roast coffee for the snobs at the table, standard blend for the joes. Kids and kids at heart went for pancakes--terrific blueberry, tasty oat bran with blueberry, and plan, all large fluffy and delicious. The breads are a standout here, from raisin to chewy rye. Generous... More
