Good burger & quirky staff

Before ordering we made sure to familiarize ourselves with how to order from signs on the wall . "Just answer the questions as the cook asks them" then wait. Burger was really good because it was made to order while we stood there and watched the cook do most everything. Seems inefficient but their... read more

Went to the new location for the first time. Still the best burger in town! They were slower than usual, and by the time I got my burger and paid, my onion rings were cold! Been eating here for 40 years!! And I'll be back...

Visited Krazy Jim's with my two college age kids. Staff were friendly but slow. Line was short but it took about 20 minutes just to watch our burgers grilled. Cook couldn't handle more than one or two orders at a time. It was good, average portion, nothing outstanding about the onion rings, fries or burgers. Add parking charges to our... More

We went to lunch her the other day and we were not disappointed! Everyone in Ann Arbor raves about Blimpy Burger so naturally we had to see what it was all about. You get to order your food in a line and they cook it right in front of you which I thought was really neat. We ordered a large... More

Not much atmosphere unless you count the extreme surly cook. The guy was downright nasty! Food was mediocre and the atmosphere was nothing to comment about- just generic. I won't be back.

I finally made it a point to try the new Blimpy Burger. The upside is that its bigger, cleaner, the food is good, the staff are great, and there is plenty of parking nearby. Everything feels like the old place. The downside is that somehow a burger, a small side of fried veggies, and a drink was over $14. Add... More

The line was short, about 20 minutes. I followed the instructions that were listed on the wall. I was disappointed. I bun was too large for the burger, and also very dry. The meat was not seasoned. The best part, was the friendly staff.

Found this place on Diners, Drive-ins and Dives app. Walked there after an IU loss to MI at the Big House. What a great restaurant experience! Friendly Wolverines (even though we were garbed in red) prepped us to order properly. The staff was helpful as well and we talked with the owner for awhile. Great greasy burger full of flavor... I have been enjoying Krazy Jim's Blimpy Burgers for many, many years at their old location. We were sad to see the old place go to the expansion of the University of Michigan, but progress must go on. The new location is much nicer, lots more space, and much more convenient rest rooms. The food, I am happy to report... More

I'll make this brief which sadly I wish the wait was. Thirty minutes outside and another 45 minutes inside with anticipation building and at least for me it fell short. I'm not in college and haven't been in years and even though my tastes have changed I still enjoy a good slider, but this I felt wasn't as good as... More
