Fast, Tasty, Economical

We have been visiting Frank's for over forty years. It is reliable for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. A real diner, it offers the standards, but the macaroni and cheese is one of the best I have eaten. We go there not only for the food, but for the nostalgia.

This place is definitely a greasy spoon and very easily missed if you don't know what you're looking for. Inside is small, but it's very much worth a visit. The service is homey and the food is filling. The French toast is sooooo good, and an order of that can last you quite a while. We came here in sort... More

One of the best classic breakfasts I've had in years. Great "diner coffee," constantly topped up, and great omelettes. Dirt cheap.

I've only had breakfast at Frank's but it's great! I see a couple of reviews saying that service is slow, and that could be true (I usually order carryout), but the food is really good. If you want a really good, but reasonably priced breakfast, go to Frank's!

Stopped while in area. I had a very tasty grilled cheese and bacon with potato salad, both great! My mom had a club sandwich and fries, also very good. Our server was excellent, very friendly, and so was the owner, Pete. This was originally Frank's, his brother in law. Would definitely return when in the area. They have breakfasts, burgers... More

If you love to be treated badly and called names, go there...I unfortunately disregarded previous reviews who warned against the owner's temper/treatment of customers so I went there anyway just to relive other people's experience in a much ruder way (pointing fingers, calling names for politely asking when our food was coming). I guess if the owner keeps treating customers... More

I've lived in Ann Arbor for 22 years and passed by Frank's dozens of times without going in. Finally decided that today was the day. Frank's is not fancy to say the least and the menu is basic. But, we had a nice simple lunch and, more importantly, some great conversation (slow day, no students and very hot) with the... More

Frank's used to be not a regular breakfast place for my boyfriend and I, but definitely someplace we would come on occasion for an omelet and some hashbrowns. Not anymore. I have an allergy to gluten (wheat, barley, rye, oats). Almost everywhere I go the waitstaff is very conscientious and polite about it, and I'm always patient and a little... More
