Interesting décor in a restored train station. Staff is very attentive, and supremely courteous. Nice variety of menu choices. On a very busy evening it appeared the kitchen/server connection on delivery of plates was not working too well. At our table of four, two dishes arrived with barely warm to cool entrees. Wine list is not too extensive, and over-priced.

Perhaps the best Sunday brunch in Ann Arbor. Gandy Dancer is a beautiful and romantic place. My favorite!

We were looking for a place for our wedding anniversary dinner. Based on reviews we choose Gandy Dancer and we both enjoyed. The staff were very friendly, all the items we ordered were nice. (crabcake, tilapia, whitefish). They even printed a special menu for us (please see picture)! And Crème brûlée was on the house!! All in all we enjoyed... More

This is one of my favorite places to visit for a fancy meal in Ann Arbor. I love the salmon pate they serve before the meal and I have never had a meal I didn't like. The staff is always extremely professional. Food is expensive but I expect that for the type of food I am receiving. I love the... More

Beautiful restaurant, housed in an old train station and has a great ambiance. The staff were very friendly and the service was superior. Making the reservation was also very easy despite a busy football weekend in Ann Arbor, thanks to their helpful staff. However, the quality of the food does not live up to the hype and it is too expensive... More

This was THE place to dine 30+ years ago, when our parents came into A2 and offered to treat their kids to a nice evening. We were somewhat disappointed on a recent return trip. Food was good but nothing special, service was the same, and it remains expensive for the quality of the evening. Many empty tables on a Friday... More

While I have had meals I would term "average" at the GD in the past, last night was not one of them. For openers the "by the glass" wine selection was slim and no imported Sauvignon Blanc to be had. I opted to have an appetizer and a soup rather than an entree. The Mussels were supposed to be cooked... More

This was the PERFECT dining experience! The atmosphere, the food, and the service! If I remember, our waitress's name was Julia, and she told us all about the history of the restaurant. Yes, it is expensive, so it is not a once a week restaurant. Goooooo!

This is my second time at the Gandy Dancer, having read such good reviews even though the first time wasn't good, I assumed it was because it was so busy since it was graduation weekend. Tonight our family of 6 filled one of perhaps 5 tables in the restaurant that had customers and still all attention to detail was missed.... More

Our 1st experience with Gandy Dancer was a wonderful romantic anniversary dinner for my husband and I. Based on the great service and wonderful food we decided this would be a great place to celebrate our son's college graduation with extended family. We were more than disappointed. We were packed in like sardines in long banquet style table (wobbly and... More
