Nice Place

I'm not a Sushimi fan but I love California Rolls. My son and I went for Lunch. We ordered the Pork Wasabi Dumplings as an appetizer which were fantastic. Then on to Sushi Rolls. I had the California Roll/California Special Rolls which were very good. A little Wasabi paste to go along with the... read more

Miki's used to have not tons of atmosphere but sushi that was second to none when it came to taste and size of rolls etc. The spicy tuna roll used to be huge and delicious. Now every thing is just average.I live in Brighton and talk to many people who feel the same about Sushi Zen, Miki's new owners.(I have... More

I visited this restaurant together with my US colleagues to have a dinner. I visited many of Japan restaurant all over the world and have to say that this one was rather average. I missed warm towel, a tea on the table, wooden or metal chopstick, i.e. all what should be available out of the box in the proper Japanese... More

I haven't been to millions of sushi places, but I know when I get food with good flavor. It seemed like these folks are trying, but I'm not blown away by their offerings. Even the "spicy" sushi isn't super exciting to my tastebuds. Don't get me wrong; I definitely enjoyed the rolls I selected, but I've had much better. The... More

This place used to be a favorite of mine...now under new management, my last meal was very disappointing. No warm towel was offered to clean my hands, a former tradition at Miki. The salad was poorly displayed, untossed, uncut iceberg lettuce with browning edges made it unappetizing. The miso soup, was even less flavorable than usual. And then there was... More

On the advise of other Trip Advisors, I chose to dine at Miki Japanese Restaurant in Ann Arbor on a recent weekend trip to the U of M. There were a variety of sushi restaurant choices in the area which is adjacent to Hyundai's North American Research facility and a concentration of Korean transplants (Yes I know that Sushi is... The sushi is fresh and creative. They have an extensive selection of sushi roles as well, prepared very creatively and with good visual appeal. Of the ones we have tried, they all taste very good. Sushi is served with a salad with ginger dressing, and miso soup. For lunch, the bento boxes are very good, and the tempura shrimp is... More

We had a great experience at Miki. Our knowledgeable server helped us decide on a Sake selection and recommended several of the creative sushi rolls. Fresh quality fish served here.

We visited Miki in September 2013. It had a new management sign hanging outside. We overheard discussion that the new management was the same family but different family members. The interior had been redone. It has a very nice, peaceful feel inside. Nice booth seating. We ordered Bulgogi, Yakisoba with chicken, and potstickers (they had another name for them). The... More
