If you are looking for an exceptional and unique meal look no further. The setting is upscale and so are the prices but the menu selection, the presentation and the quality of the food keep us coming back. There are many choices in Ann Arbor for a high-end meal but few are on a par with The Earl.

Best restaurant of its style in Ann Arbor. ...a hidden gem for food lovers, and for just lovers. Good place for a date or anniversary.

My boyfriend and I went to The Earle to celebrate his graduation and we were not disappointed. The service was stellar, the food was amazing, and the ambiance was romantic. When the pianist came over (we were seated immediately adjacent to the piano), we were worried. However, he is very talented and the volume was appropriate so that we did... More

Mostly just old hat, now. We've eaten here 4 times in the last year. Each time the food has been less interesting and this last time not perfectly cooked. It is $$$ pricey and at the level they aspire to I expect at least close to perfection. Everything we had tested over-salted including the bread! I had the whitefish. It... More

Earle is one of my favorite restaurant in Ann Arbor. Their duck breast is so wonderful. If they improve their service then I would give them 5 stars. Atmosphere was good enough.

My hubby and I ate here to celebrate our 12th anniversary. We had a voucher to split an appetizer and each have an entree. I had stuffed chicken breasts and he had fish. Both were very tasty. We told them we weren't in a hurry and they were very respectful of that. They kept our water glasses full which I... More

We tried this spot as an alternative to another steakhouse. The entrees are fairly priced and servers recommendations were good. Appetizers were also good. We provided parameters for a French wine and price range and the choice selected was excellent. I was very impressed with the depth of the wine list. I think the booths could have a refresh and... There are a lot of options in Ann Arbor in this price range. Food was excellent. Decor is very dark. Furniture and eating area show signs of age. Although polite, servers were not very attentive. Guests seated after us received menus and placed orders before we even saw a menu. At times, we were left completely alone for extended periods... More

This is a fine dining restaurant and the prices reflect the excellent food and superb service. We were in a group of eight and the service was seamless. Surely it would be the same for couples. Our reservation was for 6:30pm on Saturday night, and we were glad to have been that early because the jazz trio that began at... More

One of the best happy hours around. My family loves to go for the mussels... and bread... and more mussels.
