Anniversary Bliss

We went to Italy a few years ago and loved the cuisine and dining experience there. this month, we found that our 20th wedding anniversary coincided with our oldest son's college visit to UM. We brought all the kids-including twin 7 year-olds- and celebrated our special day at Mani. The food was... read more

We went with a friend who dined here the night before, and advised us to do it. We could not have been more impressed. From the begining they offer some great Michigan craft beer. We started with a cheese and sausage plated that was sufficient enought for 5 diners. Then it was really off to the good stuff. I have... More

Always a favorite destination. Gets noisy but with happy noise. We take out of town visitors, grandkids, foodies, good friends. Every now and then have to have pickled tomatoes or pizza with arugula.

Went last night during Ann Arbor's Restaurant Week and enjoyed the special menu for $28 per person. It was a glorious evening and we sat outside in the lively street atmosphere. While the inside of the restaurant looks nice, I found it very loud with an unpleasant echo of voices and noise, so we waited until an outside table became... More

We visited for lunch, based on the high ranking on TA. We were certainly quite happy with the choice. The server spent a good deal of time going over the menu. The Tomato Antipasti appetizer (a deconstructed, make your own bruschetta) was interesting and reasonably good. The two thin crust pizzas we ordered, cooked in a wood-burning oven were excellent.... The best pizza in Ann Arbor. We like the Tartufo (no egg.) The Branzino is great for sharing with a side of Brussels. On the negative side, the place is often busy and noisy. The food comes out whenever it is ready, so you need to coordinate with your partner (good to share.) Suggestion to the restaurant: Please replace the... More

Mani Osteria is one of the best italian restaurant not only in Ann Arbor, but in states. Every time I go there I feel like being in Italy - the food is so fresh and delicious beyond the words.

Chic ambience. Inventive cocktail menu. Scrumptious food. Courteous, helpful servers and bar staff. Mani really made our evening. We were in town to celebrate my birthday, and Mani had been on my list of places to check out in Ann Arbor for a couple of years now. I've tried to get a table in the past, but this place is... Great restuarant with big choice of items. Waiters very friendly and food way above average. Nice fun atmosphere, recoomend a visit for a semi casual diiner, but make a reservation.

Had dinner for two at Mani Osteria on a cool and rainy Sunday evening. The atmosphere inside was warm and inviting. There was plenty of other diners but we were seated without waiting. The enthusiastic staff were friendly, helpful and efficient and provided some excellent recommendations. I tried the house Negroni, made with gin, campari and sweet vermouth, and liked... More
