This is hands down the best in Ann Arbor. Fantastic food, wonderful wait staff (friendly and extremely knowledgable), great atmosphere, terrific value for the cost. It doesn't matter the occasion: family with kids, couple for a romantic evening, visitors from our of town, business meal. Fort any occasion they will provide an outstanding experience!!

You may see from the title that I have issues with restaurants that are very noisy, very, very noisy. Except for a strange pizza covered in pistachio nuts - I kid you not - all of the food we've had is very well prepared. Another plus is the very helpful wait staff. On off hours the noise level is fine,... More

We were in Ann Arbor on a weekend visit to our son, a UM graduate student. After a succession of pubs with so/so food, decent beer and LOUD MUSIC and VOICES, he relented and guided us to Mani on Sunday for our last meal together. It is an interesting Italianish place. The creative twists to Italian themes makes for an... More

I have to admit that as a Umich parent, my experience of Ann Arbor has mostly been during move in and move out. Usually in the crush of activity, I've settled for fast food choices. This time I was determined to eat well and Mani was the first real "restaurant" I had been too. It was a great choice, on... More

I guess I'm disappointed because with all of the amazing reviews, I came here expecting to be blown away. The pistachio and red onion pizza was tasty (above average) and the picked tomatoes were interesting flavors, but I almost sent back the nicoise salad thinking that they had forgotten the tuna. When I noticed very tiny flakes on the salad,... More

Yes, one of my favourites in Ann Arbor. Great pizza, great environment, and overall, they have Fernet! (which is not so common). Thin crust pizza, no deep dish style, cooked at your view. If you are alone, you can even get one of the bar seats in front of the kitchen, a bit noisy, but it is amusing.

The pasta carbonara I had here may have been the best carbonara I've ever had. The sauce was rich and creamy without being overpowering, the pasta is bouncy and fresh, and the poached egg on top is the perfect touch. Also good is the polpette pizza, which it's touch of spiciness. As for the dessert, the cannolis cannot be missed!... More

Not only were the food and drinks great, our server made the meal very special. She was friendly, efficient, and very knowledgable. She really cared that we had a great experience. The cauliflower starter was fantastic. The main course, an egg plant pasta dish was delicious and so very nicely prepared. The michigan peach and blueberry cobbler was a great... More

Really impressed with this place. We shared a delicious pork belly appetizer. I had the gazpacho, which was perfect for the hot summer day, and the pizza was very nice, although I regretted not getting a pasta because I tried some of my friends, and it's amazing. They make the pasta in house and they cook it just right.

Our grandson picked this restaurant to celebrate his birthday. We had been here for a brunch but this was the first time for dinner. As our son said when reading the menu, is this all. The menu consists of antipasti, pizza and pasta dishes. Most of the menu items were in Italian, unique and hard to understand what they were.... More
