We were sent here by our hotel when we needed a quick place for breakfast en route from there to our University of Michigan tour (I had requested something local as opposed to the obvious chain). Fab coffee and really terrific pastries (I had an insanely good almond croissant) I loved it's location in the Nickels Arcade, a beautifully restored... More

It tastes fancy and I'm not necessarily sure if that's a good thing or not. It tastes overpriced. I got a "large" hot chocolate - which is smaller than a tall anywhere else, and a lemon ginger scone. The hot chocolate was luke warm and a little bitter. I like bitter chocolate though, so that aspect was okay. Still not... More

Some of the best coffee I have ever had, and such a wonderful experience! The coffee here isn't brewed- it is crafted. The staff is truly passionate about the product, and it shows in both the service they provide and the product they offer. The prices are a little high, but this isn't your run of the mill coffee shop... More

If you are tired of Starbucks or Espresso Royale type of coffee you should definitely visit Comet Coffee. Their mocha is a true masterpiece, which is perfectly complimented by their delicious almond croissants. While coffee is more expensive than in other places, it has very peculiar taste which makes this place a must visit for coffee lovers.

A friend took me here to enjoy a hand-crafted cup of coffee. He had been talking about how wonderful this place was all day. He went on to say that he never thought he’d spend $7.00 on a cup of coffee, until Comet Coffee. And after he took me there, I understand why. While there enjoying my afternoon java with... More

Much like fine design, comet exudes that aura of a fine product, well crafted, and made with love & pride. I ordered espresso which was simply excellent but I also watched them prepare all sorts of other hot drinks and was struck by the care & attention paid by the staff. As a business owner, I appreciate the challenges of... More

They pull an expert shot here, excellent and creamy and tasty as heck. This is a terrific coffee shop that is worth going out of your way to visit if you're in the area or can get to the area.

A cute little coffee shop in the middle of Nickel's Arcade. My husband and I went in and were immediately greeted by friendly and knowledgeable staff! I ordered a cafe mocha and my husband ordered a latte. Our drinks were great! You can tell the quality of the coffee is one of the best. The cafe mocha had a bit... More

Ridiculously fresh and delicious hand-made coffee. Plus, easily the best shot of espresso in Ann Arbor. I don't know how the triple caramel-vanilla soy frapachino with extra whipped cream tastes.

While those in the know know Comet has the best coffee, what it also has is expert staff with excellent service. Late in a Spring Break afternoon, went in to the Nickels Arcade coffeehouse find a coffee grinder. The clerk clearly provided the pro's and con's of the options available, complete with anecdotes on her camping pleasures with the grinder... More
