Really liked Frita Batidos a lot. In my brief Ann Arbor tour it as the best place I ate and fairly priced. It is essentially a modified Cuban restaurant, where you line up along a counter and order your beverage, main course and sides. You then repair to a communal table and wait for a couple of minutes to receive... More

I heard about this restaurant from my economics teacher. He said it was really good. Than a good friend of mine and her boyfriend went and they told me it was really good, so I went there with my boyfriend. We liked it a lot. The fritas were good (Cuban version of a hamburger) and the batidos were too (Cuban... More

This is a fun unique location in Ann Arbor, great fresh and tasty food. The milkshakes are really good as well as the sandwiches, we went on a game day and it was a bit busy but totally worth standing in line for. Casual eatery with fast quick service.

When I dream about food, I know it's exceptional. This was the case recently when I ordered the "Best Snack Ever" and nearly swooned over this decadent mix of ginger/coconut rice, black beans, cheese, fresh tomato, cilantro spiced with just enough of a kick to wake my tongue - all in generous portion. My sister and her husband agreed and... More

An incredibly delicious, sloppy-fun meal. Frita Batidos is my teenage boys' favorite restaurant, and one of mine too. It's got a great, casual vibe--happily noisy and busy most of the time--and amazing food. The fritas are basically burgers made with various meats and delicious toppings ranging from french fries to flavored mayos to fried eggs. The batidos make for some... More

My son and I entered this casual restaurant where the menu is high on chalk boards on the wall behind the counters. Mouth watering ingredients appealed to us immediately as we stood on line awaiting our turn. The ingredients are all fresh, and the sauces, fries and soft drinks were enticing and original. Seating is at shared picnic tables. The... More

Visiting our sister in Ann Arbor we went for a late lunch at Frita Batidos. A rollicking good time in a small place packed with diners at rows of painted picnic tables. Pick up a menu and order at the counter. Beware- the sandwiches are huge - chorizo, chicken, vegetarian served Cuban style. Egg on top if you are really... More

Tasty food, unique favors, noisy location. I had the shrimp sandwich - big shrimp, very fresh. My friend had the pulled pork sandwich, also really tasty, full flavored and savory. Delicious with a side of fried plantains and avocado; much better than tortilla chips! However, the line was long to order when I was there and the place is pretty... More

Unique place for lunch - food was delicious with limited choices. Music was very loud as were the crowds. Picnic table type seating, counter orders, first come, first served. The ginger lime juice is quite gingery, the batidas refreshing and tasty. The churros looked amazing, although we didn't try one.

Ann Arbor is a foodie's paradise, with plenty of choices. This place has it all: great vibe, open bright space, very hip, great selection of food, fries to die for. Seating is community---get there early to avoid lines (we arrived about 12:15 p.m. on a Saturday for lunch, on a game day....by 1:00 it was packed). Friendly counter service, and... More
