Ann Arbor is a foodie's paradise, with plenty of choices. This place has it all: great vibe, open bright space, very hip, great selection of food, fries to die for. Seating is community---get there early to avoid lines (we arrived about 12:15 p.m. on a Saturday for lunch, on a game day....by 1:00 it was packed). Friendly counter service, and... More

Hands down, this is one of my favorite places to eat in Ann Arbor. Let's start with the good aspects: 1) Amazing food - everything I've tried here has been phenomenal. 2) Great prices - considering it's in downtown Ann Arbor, it's high quality for low cost. 3) Friendly staff - they explain what's on the menu if you're new... This place oozed good vibe and the menu is playful. As one enters the usually crowded, white space, the first thing that pops out is the presence of the tropical milkshakes present on most tables. Our beef fritas (burger) were dry inside yet greasy outside, and had no Cuban flare to it, beside the name-o.Bad fries.Kid liked the drink. I want to return... More

I've been here many times, and each time I make a mess eating the burger, and I have no regrets. The beef is juicy and pink; any and all of the toppings go fantastically well with the patty and brings it's own distinct flavors. The bench seating and candles gives it a cozy feel without being stuffy. Personally, I didn't... More

Frita's is a favorite of mine for a quick meal in Ann Arbor. The "best snack ever" is delicious, as are the fritas. I have only tried the black bean and fish fritas, but other members of the family have tried the chicken and chorizo fritas as well. You can add avocado spread or other items to the sandwich, but... First off I have to admire the creativity of Eve Aronoff, who I only know as the name of the owner/creator of Frita Batidos and what I have now read. This is a clever piece of restaurant work here... limited menu; simple fixtures; tasty food; serves alcoholic cocktails; and located in a great location.... I can only imagine it is... More

I went to Frita Batidos thanks to the suggestion of my brother, who said that it was the best burger he'd ever had. I couldn't agree more. The Beef Frita with an egg and cheese that I got was perfect. Each bite was amazing. The only bad thing about my visit, was the fact that I didn't get two!!

I'll entertain the possibility that this is incredible and I just have different tastes. The Frita was very good and if I had stopped there, this would be a different review. I got a lime batido and nearly went into a diabetic coma. I like my sweets as much as the next guy, but this was crazy. Next, I tried... More

We were in Ann Arbor for 3 days and went here twice! The "Best Snack Ever" is the name of a menu item and does not disappoint in anyway, it is tough to live up to a title like that but it certainly does. Super friendly staff and great casual eating atmosphere.

Great food and very fresh drinks. Interesting flavors are a little different than the normal Latin American cuisine options, but all the food at Frita is fresh and delightful.
