Cuban with a Twist

Let me start off by saying the I love Cuban food. Every time we visit South Florida, we eat all the Cuban Food we can. Being from Michigan, there are very few Cuban restaurants to satisfy our taste for this cuisine. I will say, if you are looking for straight, traditional Cuban food, this might... read more

Had brunch at Frita Batidos. Clearly the best Burgers in town. My favourite was the Chicken Burger Loco with all the toppings ! It was awesome. The green salad was alright. The Ginger-lime juice was pretty sharp so you have to be OK with a pungent Ginger flavour if you order this Overall a great experience with the Domino game... More

Very good version of the famous Cuban hamburger. Try the Chorizo sausage and beef burger. All food i tried was great and service was pleasant for fast food. The place itself is beautiful seating is communal.

Fun to try but once was enough. Food was overpriced even for Ann Arbor. The mini shakes were tasty but mini. At $5 you could go to DQ for a huge shake. The menu is small and none of the dishes we tried were all that good. There are so many better places to try in Ann Arbor so don't... More

Perfect for a meal when you're drunk but otherwise I'd pass. This is like a fast food place/limited selection bar with communal picnic tables, some bar seating at the front window and in the back. Frantic music, the open space, the shouted orders and drink mixer going makes for a loud place - I wouldn't bring someone here unless I... More

We recently had Frita's catered in for a meeting. Co-workers had a difficult time understanding the menu as it isn't laid out like a regular menu. We all ended up with plantain nachos, which arrived hot and beautifully presented. Fyi...the portions are large, enough for 2 meals. If you are feeling adventurous, try Frita's and go with an open mind... More

I went to Frita Batidos with a positive spirit after reading some encouraging reviews. What I found was much worse than I could have imagined, the effects of which still linger in my aching stomach. Greasy sandwiches in which the "main content" (chicken, beef, beans or whatever they claim those mounds are) is placed together with even greasier overcooked fries... More

Enjoyed an amazing Cuban sandwich and churros while we were there. The service was good, and actually rather quick. This is a causal restaurant where you choose your own seats after ordering your meal at the counter. Tables are community style so you may have neighbors that aren't with your party specifically. There were not a lot of tables. We... More

Ann Arbor is such a fun town and Frita Batidos was a surprise find on day just strolling the city. We ordered "The Best Snack Ever" as that is a pretty lofty title and it lived up to its name.

My daughter had heard about this place and wanted to try it. Somewhat limited menu so you better like burgers and fries, but it was excellent. Chorizo burger with an egg and fries on top was exceptionally good. Black Bean burgers were the best I have ever had. A little chilly in there since it was a below zero night... More
