Nice food but expensive

We were a party of 5 Had a nice meal coupled with wine and beer to each's preference The starters were good, mushroom pizza with goat cheese was great and so were the ribeye and the duck However what I found that the portions were small and the entries were pretty expensive. Wonderful lunch at an outside table. Chicken club and fish tacos were delicious, as was the fruit and side salad. Particularly liked the presentation of the salad. Our server was very professional and attentive. We'll definitely return on our next visit to Ann Arbor!

Vinology changed hands about 8 years ago and it is totally different and Better. They have wine dinners, happy hours and good food. The ambiance is good and should be enjoyable to all wine lovers.

It was difficult to get Spencer back to Vinology. He finds it stuffy, but I find it cozy with great food. As we walked in, servers and staff walked right past us without even acknowledging us (strike 1). We wanted a table in the bar area as the bar was crowded, but after flagging someone down to ask, found that... More

We visited Vinology for my daughter's graduation party. We had a great table for 11 in the lower level. Our service was superb. Entrees were excellent. I had the salmon, which was roasted and came with great side dishes. Others had the rib eye and halibut, both of which were excellent. This restaurant has an outstanding wine list by the... More

We found this restaurant on trip advisor and decided to try it out on our visit to Ann Arbor. the prime rib ordered to be medium rare was very over done. It was returned and I reordered artesan cheeses (note the plural) and was given slices of the same cheese. The portions of the salads and desserts were meagre and... More

The title probably tells the tale. The tasting plates are varied and interesting - the fig, gorgonzola and onion flat bread is particularly good - and there is a good choice of wines either by the bottle, the glass or by the flight.

There are so many things to like. First of all the ease of reserving a table. The downtown location with the loft like feel, makes you feel cozy. The waitstaff attentive without being too smothering. The drinks were well prepared, plentiful and average in price. The menu is where it went all wrong. We were seated and reviewed our menu... More

A real find in Ann Arbor. Very good food, nice selection of wine, and a very knowlegable service staff. I was part of an evening group outing which included very yummy treats, and nice flights of wine. The presentation was excellant. Highly recommended.

Acceptable quality although dishes suffered from unnecessarily baroque and complex presentations. A bit too expensive for what you eat.
