Nice relaxing place

Had a very nice lunch in the patio, big portions. French feel is present. With a fun mural of a french street. Toilet is clean. Service friendly. Cannot comment on main dishes as we had lunch sandwich.

This is a very comfortable restaurant with good food, done well. It is small so try to make a reservation if you are coming at night with a group. In the mornings they have a breakfast called la Taverne that will get you going...espresso, tender sliced filet, toast, eggs, OJ

It was by far the best dinner I had in Sucre, the onion soup was enough to go there a couple of times. The place is nice, a little bit small..but comfortable..service is friendly..prices are relative to the food quality...

Came here for lunch. It was nice. I had a ham and cheese toasted sandwich which was a decent size and came with fries too. This was 24bs. Hot chocolate was 16 but wasn't great (small and cold)- the coffee looked better though. Service was very quick and the staff were nice.

Well French it ain't ! Haven't had such a bad steak for quite a while. Still don't understand why touristy restaurants can't just simply offer a good quality local menu instead a poor version of foreign cuisine. And it's way to expensive.

My boyfriend and I both tried steaks in here. The restaurant is very pricy for Bolivian standards but the food was really top class. Didn't try many options from the menu but the steaks we both got were cooked to perfection and the pepper sauce was probably the best I've ever tasted. Pity the vegetables were only lukewarm. But other... More

I have been living in Sucre for 2.5 years and have visited La Tavern several times. I really really wanted to like this place. It has a nice wine list and very warm decor. But I just can't get past the mediocre, sometimes bad food. Most recently, went with the hubby for a special anniversary dinner. My husband ordered the... More

Amazing steaks, the chateau-briand in particular. Pepper sauce with a wonderful kick! Kicks the butt of everywhere else we have eaten in S.America. Friendly service too. We loved this place. And would definitely come again. Great value for money

The waiter that served us was outstanding. We liked the filet mignon with mushrooms. The onion soup tasted more like a bouillon than like onion soup. The restaurant is a bit pricy.

I took my wife to this cute little restaurant for a romantic meal. The food was amazing, the chateau b'riand steak I ordered was honestly one of the best I have ever had (and was only about 80 BOB)! The service was great and we were also very impressed with the wine too. Overall a great experience and unbelievable value.... More
