Excellent food and great value

I took my wife to this cute little restaurant for a romantic meal. The food was amazing, the chateau b'riand steak I ordered was honestly one of the best I have ever had (and was only about 80 BOB)! The service was great and we were also very impressed with the wine too. Overall a great experience... read more

I've read some but not all the reviews and I have to say that I'm one of the not so good place to eat category. Granted there are not to many choices to eat here in Sucre so you take what you can get. This is my second time eating here and I don't think I will be going back.... More

We visited this restaurant with a large group (17). The service was really good and the meals came out relatively quickly (40min) considering the large group we were in. The food was well presented on the plates and tasted fresh and delicious!! Slightly more expensive than other restaurants (maybe 10-20bob more) but well worth it! Great food! Lots of wine... More

We ate here twice during our two night stay in Sucre. Once by choice then second with our tour group. The service was attentive both times with a full restaurant. The mains were all perfect sizes and the flavours absolutely delicious. The serve rose petals as a sauce and salad which I am addicted. I had chicken both nights, the... More

The starters and main courses were excellent. The dessert was average as was the coffee. Good value and in a great location - just off the main square.

This is not a world class restaurant, it's an atmospheric eatery with excellent service, decent food and a friendly price tag. We had a very pleasant evening here and really enjoyed the food and ambience. Compared with Sucre's other options, La Taverna is tops.

This place was so good we went 3 times during our 1 and a half week stay in Sucre! We tried a variety of the menu but could never fit in a pudding because the starters and mains were so good and were generous portions. We tried the potato and caviar starter (which was ok but not the best thing... More

Had Sopa de Cebolla and Fettuccine con verduras. The service was ok, even though we had the feeling that we weren't the most important couple there. The food was not bad, but definitely not wow. There are a lot of restaurants in Sucre. This one is just one of them.

this restaurant proposes rather international food. We had the Argentinian steak: just perfect cooked as we request, big portion. The staff was nice and helpful Ps: the same restaurant exists in Potesi and offers the same quality.

In the middle of the Alliance Francaise, this place does provide a great French feel and ambiance. The inner courtyard part of the restaurant is very enjoyable, and the service is good. The lunch menu is a bit on the disappointing side, and the food is good but not great. Noticed on the way out that the dinner menu is... More
