We go here on occasion for their Sunday lunch. It's not a quick experience, but it is tasty. We really love the salad bar. Good selection of veggies and they are tasty. You really can't go wrong.

Good food and the salad buffet is amazing. Nice sunny patio to chill in the sun. Great variety of food and nice juices. I would go back many times over!~

We stopped for a relaxing lunch outside on their lawn at an umbrella protected table. They had a broad selection of goodies laid out at their salad bar. I started with their soup with pasta and chicken and my wife had their salad bar. We had two versions of their Milanese dish, one with jamon. & queso & one without.... More

Yes I will say that for Bolivia the service is pretty darn good in comparison to the many other places that you'll visit. The food is also decent, wait a minute...good. I enjoyed my lomo, my had a local dish called mondongo, that was tasty. Our friends who accompanied us to lunch had fish and shrimp, watch out. I was... More

We went to this restaurant 3 days in a row because it was so good. The food is gastronomic, the waiters very friendly and polite. In Bolivia were the food is often poisonned this restaurant was heaven. We had great beef meat... and with each dish comes the access to the great salad bar. Home juce is also very good.

We only ate one meal in Sucre itself - see our review of the Sky Hacienda to understand why - and were very pleased that we chose El Huerto for lunch. First, the atmosphere - outside, covered with a canopy - is very pleasant. Sucre can get very noisy at lunch we found, so it was such a treat to... More

First of all the food is excellent. Good meat and nice salad bar (shame it gets raided with little left). Service is attentive and friendly. All very good by bolivian standards. The location is a bit off putting but it's worth the effort to get there.

El Huerto was recommended by the manager of the Hostal de Su Merced and she was 100% correct! We have been two times in two days and plan to go again! Location is not central but a short cab ride for 10bs and your there. The courtyard with easy listening music is a great atmosphere for a delicious afternoon meal.... More

Just came here for lunch today and had a terrific meal. First off the service is excellent. My waiter patiently answered all my questions regarding the menu. Secondly, the salad bar was fully stocked with plenty of fresh vegetables so started off with a delicious plate of healthy greens to get ready for the main attraction. I came at noon... More
