My First Iftar Feast

We found this restaurant while walking along the pier. A crowd was arriving so we thought we'd try it. The buffet was massive with a mixture of Lebanese foods, which were unfamiliar, but good. We had very friendly staff that ensured that we kept hot bread. Please note, the water is not free. We... read more

We went to Reem Al Bawadi for tea and sheisha during the first week of Ramadan. We ordered 3 Teas, 3 Special sheishas, a platter of mixed Arabic sweets, and a plate of logheimat. The tea was good (hard to do it wrong), The sheisha was good except the sheisha guys could not be bothered to put coal for us... More

Tried the restaurant last night for first time. Great food and delivered to the table very quickly. Great kids entertainment as there is a room fully equipped with toys and a kind lady spending time playing with kids. Managed to spend some good time with wife after long time Will come back

Ok, if you want to have indoor shisha, enjoy mediocre food and beverages, Reem is your place. One thing they have nailed for sure is speed. The food get served super fast. The quality of the grills however is horrible (on several occasions we got served burned and over cooked meat). The mezze is ok - don't try the sausages,... More

Went to this Jumeirah branch to have an Iftar, reservation on the same day was fine, however the hostess didn't inform me about price or the difficulty to park due to the road work in front of their restaurant. Welcomed by plenty of hostesses and escorted by one then another one to our table. No information also when we were... More

I visited Reem Al Bawadi for an Iftar buffet on a Friday. The food was so tasty, exactly what I was looking for in Lebanese cuisine. The staff were friendly and helpful, they reccommended us drinks like moroccan tea and turkish coffee, which we wouldn't have had unless offered. They were great! We had shisha at the table too, the... More

Staying in Jumeirah

Neighborhood Profile
Jumeirah
Years ago, before the skyscrapers, before the 12-lane highway, there was only Jumeirah. In fact, when the UAE was formed, its rulers signed the agreement in Union House, at the very start of Jumeirah Beach Road. Often called “The Beverly Hills” of Dubai, a drive down Beach Road reveals one enormous, lavish villa after another. Originally residential-only neighborhoods, they are now also home to an array of cafes, smart boutiques, and art galleries. Home to one of Dubai’s few public beaches, this recently renovated area includes a new boardwalk, running and walking track, with changing facilities and cafes along the way. Another landmark, Jumeirah Mosque, is the only mosque in Dubai that can be entered by non-Muslims. As part of the Sheikh Mohammed Centre for Cultural Understanding, the mosque hosts regular tours and talks about Islam, as part of an “Open Doors, Open Minds” program. A wonderful way to understand more about the UAE and Islam.
