Traditional South Asian Food...

Ravi's its an institution of the South Asian cuisine in Dubai and been here for ages. They have a wide menu of Indian and Pakistani food and most of the dishes are design for a simple audience, feeding from cab drivers to expats. Having been on the expat list of great eats for years, it still lives upto it's hype. It's gotten more expensive but it is still great value for money. Get there early if you want a table outside during the cooler months. The food is excellent quality and the service is reasonably swift.

If you want to discover a different type of Dubai which is more in tune with ordinary day to day life then visit satwa and eat at Ravi's. We ordered the chicken tikka, dhal, naan and chicken achar. The food was tasty and portions were nicely sized. Cost 55dhs including water and soft drinks. Note that there are different seating... More

We are long term Dubai inmates and have been to Ravi's a zillion times, the thing that makes us go back is the consistency. Yes it's basic, yes it frill free but for the price you just can't beat it.... It's a very cosmopolitan crowd too a mixture of expat and tourists. The tandoor chicken, the kebabs and the bread... I am still not sure why this restaurant gets on the list for recommended visit. The food is just ok, ambience is below average and service could be better. There is a lot of oil in the dishes, have had better nihari/biryani

This is the kind of experience I really miss in modern/fusión cuisine, where softening all the flavors often provides good results in a Western audience, but it lacks the genuine taste of countries of origin for those who really appreciate the originals! We can call it “lost in translation”, or something like that. This is definitely not the case of... More

Great food at a reasonable price. Butter chicken was especially nice. Located right near the roundabout so easy to find.

Used to be a good place to eat. However, the popularity of the place pushed up prices. Food quality is decent. Watch out for the salad/extras on the table which are added to your bill even if you didnt ask for it.

Tucked in the busy heart of Satwa, you will find this no frills restaurant. Used by many local workers, this place serves good tasty food with no frills. So if you are looking for a lavish place then this is not the place for you. But is you want a delicious curry for a bargain price, head for this place. Get... More
