Tasty italian food with great service

at least 2-3 times per month we enjoy the tasty food, very friendly staff. After the dinner you can sit at the bar for some drinks and enjoy the great live music. Lots of regular guests. Sometimes special menu like truffle

There was nothing the matter with the food, the venue is nice and the service was good. My issue is therefore purely based upon price. By way of example My party included 4 adults and 2 teenagers. Between us we had 4 pizzas, a chicken dish and a duck ravioli. We had two sides, some bread a bottle of wine... More

I expected this place to have beautiful authentic Italian cuisine and it wasn't. The menu in my opinion could have been much simpler. The cocktails were very strong and not enjoyable, I felt it was very overpriced and would have been better if it was genuine Italian food, antipast, pasta, breads etc.

Nice setting, attentive staff, but didnt like the way we were treated with my wifes dinner. Starters great Wife chose a salad with poached egg. Pocahed egg was not done properly and was gloopy. We sent it back, came back the same, not how a poached egg should be. Totally put my wife off her dinner, and when questioned the... More

Dear Guest, Thank you for taking the time to write this review. I have spoken to the Chef and it seems there has been a misunderstanding, but I assure you it was not our intention to make you feel that way. We will be very happy to welcome you back to Frankie's again. Kind regards, Ilaria Rimessi More

This place is super classy with some of the best Italian food I have had. It has a great bar menu, amazing wine selection, and even better food. We had the seafood linguine and the truffle oil pasta and they were both to die for! There's also alive band that plays most nights and the singer really sets the mood... More

Great food, but so dark you certainly need to take a torch, most dubai restaurants are like this but this one more darker than normal but apart from that great staff a more expensive type of restaurant

We visited here recently on a trip to dubai to celebrate fathers day after a friend has reccomended it. Initially i made the reservation via email, the manager was very accomodating & responded quickly! Upon making this reservation i informed them of the occassion. The menu has a lot of variety to suit all tastes. My husband has a tomato... More

This is a very well-located Italian restaurant on JBR walk on Jumeirah beachfront. It was quite empty when I arrived, they offered a "happy hour" between 7-9 pm (which is usually 2 drinks for the price of one) but when I asked for my second glass, I was told that all it means is 20% discount on drinks for that... Visited for our last meal of our holiday and were not disappointed, the external entrance facade belies what is inside, a beautiful setting with a live jazz pianist adding to the ambiance. I was surprised how large the portions were. My wife’s scallops were cooked perfectly and my deep fried seafood excellent. The mains were just as tasty. We were... More

Hi Ahmad,

I just happened to see your review, and especially your following comment:

"my friend wanted to order her own penne pasta and customize it based on what she wants, mushroom and broccoli added to the pasta. After a while when i was standing in the bar with my friends, we over heared the chef was talking bad about our table as he was furious and talking in a bad tone about us with mr. Angelo saying that "if we want to order such kind of food they should go to such cheap fast foods which they make such foods", and he was refusing to make that dish!!!"

This is very strange of you to post. I have known and gone to Frankie's for years, and trust me, we have challenged chef Fabio on many occasions. Not once has he failed me and my guests in facilitating the craziest food requests. He might have rolled his eyes some times but he always out did himself in producing the food requested. He never shook his head or refused to comply with our wishes.

Your friend must either be a lousy cook, a pretentious, not in the know restaurant guest; or you did not articulate and verbalize your request properly. I reckon the later being the case.

Cooks are cooks and Chefs are Artists. Fabio is an artist, and he is one of the best I might add. Having traveled and are traveling the world, I have been to pretty much all high end and top restaurants. Frankie's is well balanced and very high quality, and the atmosphere is unique. Every guest there is made welcome and is being appreciated.

Please don't take my response to be patronizing. However, its like someone telling me the engine of my Bentley doesn't run smoothly or the seats on my corporate jet are uncomfortable. Comments like that might come from a Chevrolet or Cadillac driver and someone flying economy on an European or American airline carrier.

Be safe, have fun, hug a loved one and enjoy life; ang return to Frankie's so you discover the uniqueness of the place.

Best regards,

Alexis Alexa

Staying in The Marina

Neighborhood Profile
The Marina
It’s hard to believe that only a decade ago there was no marina. Opened in 2003, the man-made marina runs along a 3km stretch of shoreline. A heady mix of luxurious hotels, apartment buildings, and cafes, the marina hosts regular community events and markets, and is a wonderful place to while away an afternoon or evening. Spectacular at night when the skyscrapers glisten, here you can enjoy dinner on the beach next to the sea, or visit a high-rise bar in a hotel for a magnificent view across the Gulf and the man-made Palm Island, with the world-famous Atlantis Hotel at its end. The Walk at Jumeirah beach Residences is a pedestrianized stretch leading to a new development: The Beach. It’s one of the few places where Gulf nationals mix with tourists and Western ex-pats. It’s a popular place to show off your supercar for an evening, so watch out for Lamborghinis, Maseratis, and Ferraris in abundance.
