An enjoyable night out

I was at Frankies at Jumeirah last week. The place has good food period. Great! - probably not but definitely good. However, the whole thing of being with friends, live music, and friendly service makes the whole experience bigger and better. I personally do not like restaurants that are dark and heavy on the infrastructure - Frankies tends to lean... More

Me and my girlfriend are regular guest in this restaurant and always when we come back is better. My last visit was for San Valentine's day..... What I can say is just everything was perfect all but this time was over expectation. We start with a perfect negroni and a customized cocktail for San valentine, in the bar nice atmosphere... More

I arrived with my wife and daughter for a pre-dinner drink. It was happy hour (3 hours) so the drinks were good value for money. Service was good and the bar had a good atmosphere. We took our table in the non-smoking part of the restaurant where we had the pleasure of dining on some excellently cooked and presented food.... More

When visiting my daughter in Dubai she took me to Frankies, what a great evening we had. They have a good choice of dishes on their menu and we're happy for us to share a starter. Their pan fried scallops were absolutely delicious! Whilst eating a singer sang the most amazing selection of songs from Barry White, Marvyn Gaye and... More

Great food, not too fussy and a lovely atmosphere and staff. Only dislike was the smoking of cigars and cigarettes inside the bar area

Stop Press. Get dressed, get on a plane. Birthday, wedding anniversary or romantic meal this is the place to be. I was flown in from London as a birthday gift my hosts who are both chef's recommended Frankie 's .... Their service is as good if not better than San Tropez. Certainly their singer Casandra is absolutely worth a recording... More

This is a good quality Italian restaurant. It appears a but gimmicky from outside but actually classic Italian inside. The burrata starter was lovely and we both had pizzas to follow (Diavola with beef salami) which were excellent (thin crust). Service was very good and alcohol is available.

This restaurant will surprise you. From the outside it looks small and hidden yet inside it opens out - there is a casual Bar with a relaxed and chilled feel. The restaurant has a wide choice of seating with a great ambience - you just relax into it as the seating is so comfortable. The Wine list is great and... More

Hi Ahmad,

I just happened to see your review, and especially your following comment:

"my friend wanted to order her own penne pasta and customize it based on what she wants, mushroom and broccoli added to the pasta. After a while when i was standing in the bar with my friends, we over heared the chef was talking bad about our table as he was furious and talking in a bad tone about us with mr. Angelo saying that "if we want to order such kind of food they should go to such cheap fast foods which they make such foods", and he was refusing to make that dish!!!"

This is very strange of you to post. I have known and gone to Frankie's for years, and trust me, we have challenged chef Fabio on many occasions. Not once has he failed me and my guests in facilitating the craziest food requests. He might have rolled his eyes some times but he always out did himself in producing the food requested. He never shook his head or refused to comply with our wishes.

Your friend must either be a lousy cook, a pretentious, not in the know restaurant guest; or you did not articulate and verbalize your request properly. I reckon the later being the case.

Cooks are cooks and Chefs are Artists. Fabio is an artist, and he is one of the best I might add. Having traveled and are traveling the world, I have been to pretty much all high end and top restaurants. Frankie's is well balanced and very high quality, and the atmosphere is unique. Every guest there is made welcome and is being appreciated.

Please don't take my response to be patronizing. However, its like someone telling me the engine of my Bentley doesn't run smoothly or the seats on my corporate jet are uncomfortable. Comments like that might come from a Chevrolet or Cadillac driver and someone flying economy on an European or American airline carrier.

Be safe, have fun, hug a loved one and enjoy life; ang return to Frankie's so you discover the uniqueness of the place.

Best regards,

Alexis Alexa

Staying in The Marina

Neighborhood Profile
The Marina
It’s hard to believe that only a decade ago there was no marina. Opened in 2003, the man-made marina runs along a 3km stretch of shoreline. A heady mix of luxurious hotels, apartment buildings, and cafes, the marina hosts regular community events and markets, and is a wonderful place to while away an afternoon or evening. Spectacular at night when the skyscrapers glisten, here you can enjoy dinner on the beach next to the sea, or visit a high-rise bar in a hotel for a magnificent view across the Gulf and the man-made Palm Island, with the world-famous Atlantis Hotel at its end. The Walk at Jumeirah beach Residences is a pedestrianized stretch leading to a new development: The Beach. It’s one of the few places where Gulf nationals mix with tourists and Western ex-pats. It’s a popular place to show off your supercar for an evening, so watch out for Lamborghinis, Maseratis, and Ferraris in abundance.
